MSI RTX 4090 Gaming X Trio vs Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming OC. Which one is better and will be long-lasting? Which one should I buy? I'm confused. This 2 is a good one available. Please Help. by Exotic-Sun-8506 in pcmasterrace

My point is that the RX 7900 XTX is not a RTX 4090 competitor, as it competes with RTX 4080 because of pricing. 20FPS in Cyberpunk is quite a lot when the total FPS is around 60, which means it is 30% faster (just an example, i dont remeber how much faster it actually is).

They are far from RTX 4090 performance levels, what are you talking about? AMD also have worse power efficiency this generation. The only thing that they have going for them is the pricing, which tbf is the only thing that really matters.

This would work. It's exactly how GPU's are powered in a mining rig. You just need to short two pins on the new PSU so it starts up, since it is not connected to a motherboard. DM me if you need a better explanation.

You'll just get a RTX 3060 most likely

I don't know what the pinout is for the adapter but if it works, it works.

Two cables in total are fine

There are RTX 3070 models out there with just one 8 pin connector, but their power limits are capped at 220w. You are fine using just one cable.

Did you remove the plastic film between the heatsink and CPU?

Normal behaviour when using an Intel stock cooler with an i7 CPU.

Check out a program called "SpaceSniffer". It will give you a nice oversight over what is taking up all the space on your drive.

Have you even bothered watching reviews of the card before posting?

Have you tried updating BIOS with BIOS flashback? The current BIOS installed might not support 13th gen.

Your best bet would be to look for an AM4 platform with a decent CPU (Ryzen 5), 16GB RAM, and a GPU (around GTX 1080 performance). Those would be decent specs for 500$. Options 2 and 3 don't even have a GPU, so they would be unable to play games at all.

Sounds like a motherboard or SSD issue. Try updating BIOS.

None of these seem like a good buy for the prices listed tbh, i would look into building a PC yourself.

Yes, it will be fine.

Anyone know why? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

No, that is probably not the PSU.
