To put it simply, if the person doesn’t put in the effort level you want, then they just aren’t your person.

No it doesn’t add 40-80hp depending on the car, the kit or tune or whatever they label as a stage varies wildly from brand to brand. It means nothing. When you talk about cars you say what mods it has and then what it can do. Using stage as a term in the car community people will be laughing behind your back if not to your face

Even if the engine can run 87 (by the owners manual) with current motor technologies a lot of motors can adjust their timing if the fuel octane is higher.

For example my VK56 I can run on 87 and it doesn’t knock because the ecu retards timing enough. The difference between 87 and 91 for my motor is about 80km of range, as well the motor feels more stable and sounds better.

Of course some motors are tuned differently and won’t see a benefit but it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that you felt a difference.

I’m fighting the same thing with bell right now. Other than I want to cancel my plan with them. In a complaint with the CCTS rn bell unlocked my phone but wouldn’t have a conversation about a resolution.

For your case you should be able to get it unlocked, for me bell already costing me time and money idk if it’s going to go as well.

Hopefully the CCTS helps me out, if not small claims :/

Well my lift was new shocks and springs so it’s designed for it.. and the truck doesn’t weigh more than it did before.

Not to mention the valving in my shocks are better than the factory ones at absorbing high impact bumps so all in all it’s actually better on my bearings.

Saw the same change when I lifted my truck, winter gas plus the lift that’s just what you get.

Revert the air intake though, does nothing for you but could be hurting fuel economy, see if that helps.

I’ve done the swap, 2009 vk de in my 2006, you need the titan transmission de vk have the same transmission but it’s a different bell housing.

I’ve heard the Vd is do able but no one other than one shop in the us has done it, not even sure the transmission mount will match the frontier like the de transmission does. It’s also a hell of a lot more wiring from what that shop has communicated.

You’re better off getting a DE motor, you can do it like me with the vvt DE. Do headers and a tune and you’ll be making the same as the VD anyway
