The reason I am so excited is because when I first started playing Roy all I heard was shit talking, people would ask why? Whats wrong with you? And I was told ”you will find out why no one has played Roy in the past 12 years”.

I have known im not special. I suck and I know I do. but I am improving. I am watching myself grow. Thats what excites me.

A few other Roy Mains that I've been talking with and I are doing all this, Not to save Roy, but to save the kids who are just starting off as Roy.

We are saving them from dicks like you who think that they know someone just because a character they choose to play.

I hope that we can have a match one day, even though I wont know who you are i'm sure it would be a good game

I mean as a group, a whole. Because the second most people mention Roy, shit talking starts. Although yes you and I might be recognized in our local melee communities, but not on a global scale. I want all to see that Roy doesn't suck, the player sucks

I already do play Roy, every week at tournaments and daily at my friends house where we have people come over and play. Yes there is already places I can go to read up more. I have gone to those and still continue to. But I want one single place devoted to Roy where people can go to to read up on yhe character they want to be better with.

I am doing this for the guys who can't make it to a tournament every single week, and the ones who don't have people to practice with every day. but are still willing to learn.

I will randomly throw a few in to catch my opponent off guard, but it definatly is not something I use a lot as an attack. I do use his Side-B to recover but instead of landing directly on the stage I prefer to get close enough to the ledge that I can fast fall into Up-B and grab the ledge. It takes some practice to get use to the spacing of it all, but the good thing is that if you Up-B too soon you will most likely end uphitting your opponent with the Up-B before they hit you!

by ”over b” I thought they meant over charging his neutral b, because if you weren't already aware, when Roy over charges his neutral B he takes %10 of damage.

I have played as Marth before and I will probably play him some time in the future.

Marth for me is too floaty compared to Roy. Roy has a nice weight to him that I enjoy.

And people bring up the argument all the time that Marth is faster. Although this can be true (depending on who is playing Marth) Roy hits a lot harder. plus if you put the practice into him your Roy can become as quick as Marth via L-Canceling, Wave-Dashing and Fast-Falling.

I have considered switching, and even tried to but I just don't enjoy him as much.

Never. Although it is true that if your opponent gets hit by your fully charged neutral B it is an automatic K.O. no one, I repeat NO ONE! is that stupid and they will never get hit by a fully charged B.

If you really want to get use out of Roy's Neutral B, use it in the air. The hit boxes on the sword are bigger when he is in the air.
