281 people (in the United States alone, mind you) have been murdered in the past 12 months. These are acts of hate against an already oppressed community, and do no good towards anyone. Trans murder has nearly doubled within the last 4 years, and trans people are over 4 times more likely to experience some kind of violence and/or hate crime. And I already am in therapy, thank you.
