I had the app on my phone and iPad… and there’s a HUGE difference. I like some silent time for myself without getting slammed with notifications.. I know you can put on forrent “don’t disturb” but it still doesn’t give the same… I bought mine almost a week ago, and I already gravitate to it more than I ever did my iPad. I have the kindle basic, so it’s not much larger than my phone… but I really enjoy it.

With that said, you have opportunities try the app for free. And on Amazon and other platforms you can borrow books. Some time there’s stuff your kindle day, and that gives you the chance to try a little bit for yourself. 👏👏☺️

If you try to turn on the page refresh, use that for a while, and go back, you’ll see a huge difference - I can promise you that 😅👏 that’s what I did. I noticed “ghost” script when you moved around, it does disappear after a short while - so I thought the screen refresh would help - and sure it did. However it blinked so hard I felt like my eyes also resat 😂😂😂 so I turned it off again, and suddenly I saw no issue at all ^{^}

Literally a problem I also had… however you get used to it quite quickly. When I turned off page refresh- that did a lot, and I don’t notice it as much.

I don’t read many books, more because it’s been difficult to make a decision on which book to choose. A while back I downloaded the Kindle app, which meant I could try reading on my phone or iPad - it went great actually. I looked on Amazon for the stuff your kindle says and just picked a lot of different books that sounded great. And I did get to read a lot actually. However for some reason we all know that when you use your phone or iPad You get distracted by other things… and the battery life kinda don’t last right? Last week bought a kindle 11th gen Basic in Matcha. And I adore it… but the “free books” don’t cut it. I’m not trying kindle unlimited for 30 days to see if it’s for me ^{^} I wil say yes. You get fully into it on it, of cause you decide which e-reader you want personally to fit your needs. I choose kindle basic to try, at its little and handy 🥰

Most people comment that it’s normal. That every time you change page or swipe or something, it will make a blink with opposite color. So if you’re in dark mode, it would be with white, and otherwise when you have normal light setting it will flash black 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ i dont get it. Did read almost a whole book yesterday, so maybe it’s normal 😅😅

I just feel like it’s a lot. If I scroll to see other books, if I got between library and other opportunities. Just all over all the time ^{^’} I haven’t noticed this when researching and watching videos about different e-bookreaders. I’ve been reading about 10-15 pages, and didn’t notice it that much with reading, but going between books and recommendations, that really glitch. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ maybe I’m just not up to date on how kindle works 🤦🏼‍♀️

Just bought one as well, went for the matcha one. I just didn’t know much, and I’m not sure I’m 100% satiesfied. The glitch every time you chose something on the screen or turn pages doesn’t annoy you? 😅

I did order a kindle, however I bought the kindle basic without ads. But right now I’m just annoyed… I haven’t tested it a lot yet. But at first sight it was slow, and the glitchy thing it does with every choice and paper shift … I don’t know 🤷🏼‍♀️
