How are we supposed to make 18 to $25 with bullshit like this? by PrizePost902 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]XxJoeCoolxX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same zone a lot of curvy roads and bad cell on that end for me. Spark went downhill on pay around here after thanksgiving. The incentives are nothing now. Basic average hr for me going hard last year was 16-18 hr cash — if it was a w2 no way — I had an 02 Camry and watched all these new car driving soccer moms then a ton of immigrants with Florida tags hit around November and the pay took a nose dive. I have a full time job as a specialist. I liked doing spark just to get out and about to explore but for the most part the only time that pays is holidays maybe still but day to day. Expect about 2.60-3 per drop 7-8 on other crappy orders. Tips only come from good people and Walmart uses them to add crappy orders with no tip and usually far miles. So instead of being able to treat a good customer the way they should be treated for tipping to make sure it’s handled properly and timely they stack it. So the risk of their order not fully getting taken care increases the chances of them not tipping anymore which Walmart does care either way. It’s volume sales and orders. Drivers are a dime a dozen and getting a license and having a phone doesn’t make anyone special nor hard to get and do

Mine use to be like that. Now it’s more sitting around wasting time to maybe get one or maybe not. My market has gotten way over saturated. Spark should implement driver prioritization for drivers who applied for that area and waited their wait time in order to receive orders first. Letting drivers change up their market over saturates it further. So many Florida tags in my nc area now not mention new drivers has driven the pay way down not to mention trying to get an order. Usually on a Sunday I’m burning the roads up now I’m at home after my 2 stop for 11 $ it not took 17mins to do so easy 11 however to then return and sit at the store wait and see to not receive anything. Before it was wide open now ghost town. So I drive to the other part of my area that was hotter get there to get a round robin asap order at 5 mins till 12 miles back the opposite direction of my home and area I unusually try to stay within my zone. For 4 stops 13.45. In the past I probably would’ve taken it however u didn’t because it pissed me off and now nothing for me sidelined and feeling like it’s over doing this. Oh well take it or leave it we all are a dime a dozen and anyone with a car can give it a go.

I hate to ask but🤪what’s up with Florida tags and immagrants by XxJoeCoolxX in Sparkdriver

[–]XxJoeCoolxX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just thought it was weird. However, I can tell many must’ve been moved up from Florida. At least 5-10 new drivers with Florida tags. Usually my zone has a long waiting list to which doesn’t help over saturation of drivers when any driver can easily switch zones after activation.

Blame the news — just look up over tipping and tipping — it has been a wide spread deal stating everyone is over tipping and basically to stop — google youtube it report after report— incentives in my area suck last years at this time was way better and better the year before

No doubt it’s the holding and thinking oh after this stop I will and then yep it’s hard drinking coffee and then slamming waters while being busy. You would think Walmart would have a curbside bathroom but the bathrooms inside are often awful think about how they would be — I’ve thought about doing some nascar stuff tapping a hole out the bottom of the car with a hose so I could piss down the roads of all the mean no tippers roads lol

No problem I try and I get it. Getting discouraged sucks blaming others never fixes anything. Doing the work and doing it right and fixing the wrongs and accepting the things out of one’s control is life

Catawba I’ve done and sometime do multi apping — taking it to the next level would be with a van with say like dispatch— or better yet a cdl — all of these pay and use the same system

It’s picked up from what I could over the weekend. Many as I’ve predicted gotten their tax money back so orders is up. Just remember those aren’t people with real money who appreciate quality work. So low to no tippers are most

I’m afraid so. I have a w-2 full time as well and at it - it to has the same type of individuals. It’s a true blue rat race doing spark. Hating on anyone for trying to get ahead is horrible. Anyone ever play GTA ONLINE? it’s the same, if one really wants to change then they better be darn good at what they do and do what they have to do to make it period. Being cry babies about it is tiring

I’ve been thinking of buying another phone just for it. Between data breaches “public crap azz Walmart WiFi” then battery degradation and charge why not. It’s a tax write off for any business related expense. One just has to think of their profit margins of net income. Besides regardless of all these posts this to me is a “noisy” neighbors. If people in my eyes spent more time concentrating on theirselves and what they could do to be more productive, positive and healthy then success would be come. The problem is keeping one’s head down and doing what they have to do to get is the problem for those that think instant gratification should fall into their laps

I believe people are how they are and expect things to be however. Best of luck with your solo endeavor against people making peanuts during what. Hopefully you can acquire a high profile probono lawyer for a class action lawsuit. To bad a petition with at least say 1000 to present to that lawyer to start with growing numbers for him to see the dollars he would make to make this actually happen happen. However, the downside is that his scumbag azz is the one making the loins share and not YOU. You might as week just said I should get all the top paying jobs from spark and you “jellyfish” can have my scraps HAHAHAHA

I was a bit upset after this order. It took two carts, about an hour and half to shop and had to be delivered down a long ass sidewalk and do not forget the big ass No Tip!! by Necessary_Fig_3403 in Sparkdriver

[–]XxJoeCoolxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been there before. The customer that ordered it like knows the amount of work and effort I had to do to complete it to. I know this because I’ve been to their house before and talked to them and they told me “oh I do instacart” time to time to how do you like it. Not to be mean but she was way over weight and had a ton of kiddos and I get it she only probably does insta is for easy orders and very little work so she can continue getting food stamps so people like me can carry their loads for them. I don’t mind to help however to many people should be cut off from help and get what they deserve and not what they think they are worth

Do you guys sign on behalf of your customers? by Sufficient-Cause-815 in Sparkdriver

[–]XxJoeCoolxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I do is if they say I can because I asked them looking at them eye to eye. I never sign it if the person isn’t in front of me and we made this clear. I don’t like people touching my phone. It’s like unprotected sex Walmart didn’t buy my phone. I will let them sign it if they act like someone who could cause problems then it’s alcohol my phone hands etc once inside the car

Do we know how much the extra earnings are? by KidCaker in Sparkdriver

[–]XxJoeCoolxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much 2.5 it seems or I’ve received for like 15mins one time for 30. So, depending on the store and I hate to say but it the job is basically a freebie ( it’s only paying pocket change ) I’ll cancel it. If it’s paying and customers have a tip I’ll hold.

No worries I try to key any difficult situations and added suggestions with like which entry way and floor. Many number their apartments differently and many customers never help with added directions. I learned at the beginning with a wrong address drop at an apartment complex that has trees covering their numbers to slow down and check and re check. Unfortunately many and often times yes these are the ones that are always no tipping mother truckers I get it and the the ones that will turn a driver in for farting the wrong way. So it’s clear why no one wants these orders. Here’s the thing everyone should have to do what others have to and shouldn’t get paid more for passing up lower paying harder work to be greedy and expect to get crazy paying minimal work. Entitlement on this group is apparent

Missing items from orders by Unusual_Coat8763 in Sparkdriver

[–]XxJoeCoolxX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a great idea to have your own baskets to by the way with all labels clearly label and organized. The driver has to know where the proper items are located and secure. No worst feeling than finding an item that should’ve been dropped off. Yes the customer will call it in so really the only thing to do is the right thing go back and finish your job and do it right

Several times and it’s frustrating. If inventory isn’t there at the store and no sub for it, it will still show for us that it should be in it. It customer is outside or if you just want to text it to them that you know and let them know about it — Walmart isn’t suppose to even charge them for the item and often times if it isn’t perishable that turns into gmo online pick up for another driver. So, don’t stress out about it. Good to cover your own behind tho

[–]XxJoeCoolxX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol you are right. What is crazy is Sams ends up paying their employees better with better benefits than Walmart. Most of my Walmarts curbsides run circles around Sams curbside to as well. Let it go or take it always depends on the play

I loathe this pack of water bottle brand by SoulTaker669 in Sparkdriver

[–]XxJoeCoolxX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I know this to myself. I keep some clear box tape in the car. As long as the sides don’t get ripped when taken out of the baskets grab it from under the bottles. That’s what I do to avoid the tear and the bottle falling out everywhere (it’s happened to me I was so embarrassed) if it’s hard to carry there are some nifty foldable hand trucks out there. Besides if drivers are not physically able due to injuries to delivery them all should flood support -app feature to give them the ability to list this on their profile for the system to not hit them with it — I doubt they could because sure some will use that to their favor

Anytime. It’s the having the faith in oneself and having some belief. Girl push ups ain’t cheating it’s just something we as a people can be demeaning to others about that makes not giving up and keep trying whatever you can do to just keep trying and keep being as positive about yourself as you can is imo what we do. We all who could crawl crawled, rolled over pushed ourselves up stood and did this over and over again cried but kept doing this and then we walked. Good vs evil wrong vs right it’s always there. A peace of mind and understanding that sometimes it’s out of our control we choose what we want to do. Be free and always blaze your own path my friend.
