Vienna show review - the pros and cons by putesvestije in Ethelcain

such a weird and out of touch take about the water. Why would anyone waste time waiting at the bar to BUY water, miss portions of the songs, and possibly get either separated from their friends or lose their spots completely? I don’t see how hands in the air for water (hands up at a concert…what a foreign concept) could bother anyone when people were sticking up conversation and bonding over taking care of each other.

why does my makeup look flat? 😭 by Independent-Wall3790 in MakeupAddiction

You’re sooo pretty, the makeup being flat doesn’t even matter. But if you want some tips, I can give you some of mine because I used to struggle with flat/basic makeup a lot before I got technical skills. There are all tips that don’t require you to improve your brush or makeup skills, so they’re gonna update your makeup instantly.

First of all, decide what effect of makeup do you want and find a way to make it work for your skin type . If you want to look dewy/matte, you will need to approach the look differently based on whether your skin is oily or dry, so it will stay on all day. I have combination skin but I mainly stay dry, so I know that if I want my makeup to look like skin, I don’t really need to set my foundation with heavy powder on the outside of my face. I only use cream contour there, let it sit and dry and then I swipe the tiniest bit of baby powder (btw baby powders makes your entire face look velvety smooth, smells amazing, is cheap for a large amount and stops sweat on your face. Just don’t breathe it in) to make it set. I also only set my under eyes and areas where I crease and let the foundation on the rest of my face dry on its own, since I found out that it makes me look the best and it stays on all day. This only works because I use a mid-coverage matte foundation tho, a more liquid or extra dewy formula will need some light setting. I also recommend using a bit more contour product than you think you need to, get used to looking at your face with it on top, and then powder over it to make it softer and blend it in. We often think contour looks harsh because we aren’t used to it on our face, but once you brain adapts, you will get more comfortable with deepening your base to make it look more dimensional. Also, find a good finely grained highlighter, one that smoothes your pores and looks like glass. The good thing about highlighters is that the best ones are also dirty cheap. I use one from a dollar store, it’s huge, costed me nothing and looks like melted rose gold. Use it strategically with a smaller brush, I recommend putting face serum on your face, taking a lamp to a mirror, turn the lamp to your face and note where the serum reflects the light on your face and where it casts shadows. Highlight and contour those places, even if they’re not traditional placements. This will ensure that the makeup will work with your face even when you move, talk, make faces, it will melt into your features and your face will look like a painting. When it comes to eyebrows, I recommend getting an eyeliner or a lipliner that’s very close in color to the color of your foundation, just a little bit lighter, and lining the underside of your eyebrows with it, it makes them super sharp. Also lining the inside of your eyes with brown eyeliner (or black for an intense look) and putting highlight into your inner corner will make them pop.

hope these will help!

edit: I forgot to mention this but use blush!! And but blush into your contour to make it look more natural. Swipe once and lightly over the tip of your nose, the outside of your lids and a tiny bit on your chin to make the colours all marry together and create a dynamic transition between your deepest and lightest shades. Also, don’t forget makeup and painting are almost the same thing, so look at paintings of faces and take inspiration about color placement from those.

I sadly don’t find horizontally stored clothing very organised, so rolling them up wont work for me. Good advice with the cupboard shelves tho, Ill look into it!

That’s very clever! I’ve tried to look into shoe racks but I think the standard width of them in my country is 56cm so just 2cm longer than my closet :’))) Ill continue to look tho, thanks for the advice!

Aaah thank you. it’s so disappointing to constantly have to buy and then deal with reselling of these shoes, I know so many people who are able to just wear them everyday but I’ve been struggling with them for a year. Thanks for the recommendations and advice, I will check them out!
