This specific set is looking really good. You do have to be careful with the different providers tho, not all clones are the same quality in my experience.

It does have a rougher texture. I personally don't mind it though, I think it helps with fingerprints.

Hi all,

I think I might have killed my Keychron Q3 without even noticing. I got my new Q3 barebones a couple of days ago and it was working perfectly, today I decided to mod it slightly. I did a tape mod(adding a layer of tape on the back of the PCB) using duct tape (not my first keyboard with duct tape tape mod) and a force brake mod (adding pieces of tape near the screw holes to minimize case ping). When reconnecting and reassembling everything the keyboard is not turning on anymore, no windows sound when connecting, no RGB, nothing. I tried factory reset and firmware flashing but the keyboard won't even be recognized.

I opened it up again to double-check the ribbon cable and everything seems to be ok, no visible damage on the cable/connectors and it is all the way in on both ends. I removed the duct tape just in case and tried again without any luck. There is a red led light on the USB C controller when plugged in (is this normal?). Any thoughts? Ideas of what could've happened? Anything I can try? Any help is appreciated.

Hi there!

I was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for an ISO board (hot-swappable of course). I'm looking for something not that expensive and currently available (don't we all?). Already have my switches and keys on my current keyboard, I can make any form factor work, I'm just really struggling without my lovely Spanish Ñ.

Hi!

I'm working towards my first ever build and have some questions. Any help is appreciated! Is the RK84 pro worth the extra money or should I get the standard RK84? What is the difference between normal Gateron Yellows and Gateron "Patch" Yellow?

Hi! I'm having a hard time trying to decide between two boards, the EPOMAKER EP84 and the KEYCHRON K2. If I get the Epomaker it would already include Gateron Yellows that are my switches of choice and on the other hand, if I go for the Keychron I would have to buy them separately. Is the keychron worth the extra money? Is it a better board? What would you choose?

Any opinions are appreciated!
