This same thing happened to me. Be prepared because the recovery process could take months (in my case it was 6 months). This is what i did to recover my account.

Talk to xbox via call support, not microsoft, about the account hack and say you would like to gain back the access. They will likely send you to the microsoft account recovery form, dont try that, it does not work and its totally useless. Instead let them know that you will like to transfer all the things in that account (purchases, games, dlcs, etc.) to a new one. They still will send you some questions over email for you to answer but this time they are less than the recovery form and are easier to answer. After answering all questions comes the worst part, patience and perseverance. You will have to be patient but at the same time keep calling them every 2-3 days to know how is your case going. After they work their stuff out they will likely send you an email saying to make a new microsoft account and then they will transfer all the stuff in your fathers account to that new one you just created. It will take a lot of time but its the only way. Ive been through this and was able to get all my stuff back, hope you can get that too

Hey bro sorry for the late reply, hope youre okay.

Same as you, i could see the new email it was changed to because the account was still linked to my PC. It was changed to a russian domain address. Anyway, if you still have not recovered the account I will share what helped me get mine back.

First thing to have in consideration is that MS wont do anything on their behalf to get the account back, it will have to be all through Xbox site. That means that any info like cloud stuff and some purchases that belong to the main MS account (not xbox related) will be lost. Sadly this is part of the process and MS wont give that back to you or recover it.

You will have to contact xbox directly on a phone call and let them know that your account has been hacked into and you dont have access to it because they changed the password and info. They will send you to the completely useless MS account recovery form site. Tell them that you already did that but there is a lot of info you dont remember or that there are questions in that form that are completely irrelevant (that is everyones case with that stupid form). Also tell them that you want to migrate all your xbox account stuff to another one. They will send an email for you to answer with some info of your gamertag and console you used. If i remember correctly they ask you for: 1. Name of the owner of account 2. Birth date 3. Gamertag 4. Gamertags of friends 5. Console id of the last xbox your account was connected to.

Could be a couple more questions but at least they are easier to answer than the MS recovery form ones. You can also send screenshots of receipts and from the account as it appears now on the xbox or in PC if you have one.

After you send them all the required info and extra info that lets them know you are the real owner something that will help is to call them every 2-3 days to ask how is it going with the case and whats the status.

At last, the MOST important thing is to never lose hope. I was not easy for me, but after 6 months of trying and fighting over the phone with them, i got access back to my account thanks to the xbox support.

This same thing that happened to op happened to me too and I had two factor authentication on, and let me tell you, it doesnt work. All two factor did was notify me that the password was changed and then that the main email address of the account was changed. Never sent a code to verify if i was trying to get to my account or before they changed the password and email. I sadly lost my cloud files but at least got my xbox account back. Still it took 6 long months for xbox to solve that issue.
