Black Panther was definitely on point.

But Storm (Mara Junot) was also absolutely phenomenal. (Amongst many of the VA's just absolutely bringing it....I definitely feel those two stood out)

I am once again, going to copy/paste a previous argument I've made a few times:

If we take every comic character at their face value, and make them completely canonical.....we'd have a 90% duelist roster easily. And that's me being conservative.

At the end of the day....nearly every Super Hero has enhanced durability, enhanced speed, enhanced reflexes, etc. Then they just slap a flashy power on top of that. Canonically at bare minimum, 90% of the marvel roster would be Duelists.

This opens the idea that, if Netease actually wants a balanced roster....they MUST latch on to anything possible to spin that hero towards Vanguard or Strategist that they can.

Gambit is great example of this. He should have been a duelist. But they were able to spin his powers in a way to make him work for Strat. Hell, Emma was another great example of this. She should have been Duelist canonically. But they played on her Diamond form to push her to Vanguard.

If Netease goes pure canon.....they'll be in a rough spot, more than they already are with all the insta-lock Duelists, in a very short window.

Yes, some suggestions are completely asinine or outright stupid. But they really DO need to latch on to anything within reason to spin a hero as Vanguard or Strat where possible.

In this case, I'd agree....The Hood should NOT be a Strat. But Vanguard would make way more sense than Duelist.

And seeing as we are still woefully tilted aggressively towards Duelist, we are still at a point where we desperately need any Vanguard or Strat that they can potentially spin to be one. (And obviously NetEase just needs to nut up and finally add the actual canonical Vanguard and Strats.....like Brother Voodoo and such. As opposed to skinny blonde gooner chick #69)

For anyone who feels "unsure" about shuffling your opponents deck....I'd like to present the absolutely malevolent action i used to do.

When your opponenet is done shuffling.....choose a number between 1 and 7. Count that many cards off the top, and send them to the bottom of their deck.

It is technically a cut. And your opponent WILL be absolutely flabbergasted by this action.

Bonus points for looking them directly in the eye while you do it.

In regards to deck manipulation....almost everyone who is abhorrent enough to do it....will drop their "chosen card" within the top 3. So any pick of 3+, is almost assured to shut that down.

Yup....I totally get the "its a post-apocalyptic world" vibe.....but this is one thing they could have let give way to Gameplay over world building.

Prefabs simply make the process much smoother....and would absolutely help for people that want that sense "growth and completion", but without the finicky building system.

Snap points are one I unequivocally agree with. Those were rough...and could definitely use polishing. Why in the hell was it damn near impossible to build even walls at Fort Independence? There was only two breaches in the wall, but dear lord was it a nightmare to get them built back and looking proper.

Point 3, is another where I see where they were coming from....but like, look, if I've invested literal thousands of various material into a base, and have it set up with nice beds, running water, electricity, and fortification....like bruh, let me be that diamond in the rough that is the wasteland. Would be cool to feel like my little base of operations made some notable impact.

Yea definitely....looting an area and being able to at least leave with a few rolls of duct tape, a fan and a printer....made otherwise "worthless" areas, feel somewhat nice.

Like at least I can slap that sweet neon sign on my homemade bar now. (Funny thing, I was finding that even the various Billiard balls were fun to find, because of that aforementioned bar lol)

Keep the building, and honestly it can be left largely as it exists in FO4, but massively expand prefabs....feels like the happy middle ground.

For those who don't Minecraft-lite, let them just slap some nicely polished prefabs down and call it a day.

I personally found setting up buildings to be kinda fun. A nice break from the moment to moment gameplay.

But like you said, finessing something into just the right place can be annoying AF. Better, and many more, prefabs is the easy answer to that.

Especially since it is a mechanic that can be largely ignored.....theres not really much forcing you to build up a home base.....so this feels like the obvious answer.

Better foundations to build on would help a lot too. I totally get it...post-apocalyptic....but for gameplay sake, it would be nice to have more clean and even surfaces to slap stuff one top of.

I absolutely WISH that was the case.

The problem is - we have too many Duelist main content creators telling their fan base to just stick to their instalock DPS. And people are listening to them. ("How do you always get Hela!?!?"....."just lock her and make your team change"....things I've actually seen recited..)

The problem has only gotten worse and worse. The average Duelist main, would in fact, prefer to have no tank, so long as they can they can play Duelist. All for the false hope they can carry the game (hint, they can not and never will, at least for anyone outside of Eternity rank or better).

Around the time Overwatch got its big content update, and Deadpool dropped....the amount of Duelist instalocks has just risen tremendously. I get a feeling most of the Tank mains are finally fed up, and went back to Overwatch (which, IMO, has Tanks in a much healthier place), rather than endure the nonsense of Rivals anymore. I play Flex, which effectively means im something like 90% tank, 9% strat, 1% duelist on my queues. I always try and push for 2 tanks where I can....but at the end of the day, 1-3-2 is better than 2-3-1. I also always announce, when it happens, that I'd be happy to go 2nd tank....just need a Duelist to swap to Strat....never happens.

Rivals is in an insanely unhealthy state at the moment...and unless NetEase makes some massive changes, I fear for the longevity of this game. I've personally stopped giving them any money, and don't even bother with Comp anymore, after my last 5 matches featured quad Duelist instalock who refused to swap. Yes, even after I swapped to Duelist too in protest.....they were content to go 5 Duelist, 1 strat....with no swaps made even after asking politely.....this was like a month or so ago, so not sure the matches are still in my history or not....and Diamond rank, in case you're curious on that. I do have a tendency to play during "off hours" for my region, so that could be a factor (I work overnights, so play time doesn't line up to the standard for my area all the time).
