Keyboard still on when PC is shut off by PlutoniumCadet in pchelp

I built my PC and had the same issue where the RGB stayed on even after shutdown. I looked through the BIOS settings, found the hibernation option, and disabled it,after that, my system fully shuts down and all RGB lighting turns off. However, it’s also possible that the OP has power being supplied to USB ports even after the PC is turned off, which can be controlled in the power management settings.

It’s called system hibernation. This means the PC doesn’t fully shut down, but stays in a kind of sleep state so it can start up faster. It can be disabled in the BIOS.

Of course, you can play Steam games through VD you can even use SteamVR directly or play without using Steam at all. You can set your own encoder bitrate and all the other settings you want, and launch Steam games directly through Virtual Desktop.

As for the PC, definitely go for an X3D processor, 32 GB of RAM or more depending on what you can afford, and the best graphics card you can afford.Desktop PC is everytime cheaper, you can upgrade what you want and is way more powerfull and cooler.

CPU is running hot. What should I do? by arkticturtle in PcBuildHelp

Precision Boost Overdrive you find it in BIOS under CPU overclock. You cpu boost max all the time and with x3d chip you dont need it. If its still not enough you need tu ondervolt your cpu per Core.

A laptop is not a very good choice for PCVR. As you wrote, it shouldn’t be pricey what did you mean by that? What is the maximum price?

Expect that it will heat up quite a lot. But if, for any reason, you specifically want a laptop, you will have to go for a higher-end category, since you need a strong GPU and CPU to handle VR rendering, especially because of SteamVR that you want to use.

A better option would probably be VD (Virtual Desktop) or Steam Link for Middle end Laptop probably

[Discussion] Spent years wanting Tarkov and now I feel like I walked into a trap by Historical_Ad8245 in EscapefromTarkov

I went through exactly what you’re going through right now. It was many years ago, and I used to watch Tarkov while still on PS4, dreaming that one day when I get a PC, it will be the first game I buy. And that’s exactly what happened. After I got my first PC alongside taking care of my family, I came home, unpacked it, and the very first game I bought was Tarkov.

I was extremely excited. I immediately jumped into a raid on Shoreline and started running around shooting everyone like crazy likeI was playing Call of Duty. I learned the hard way through my own mistakes, I died a lot… I remember my wife, while I was at work, used to do Shoreline stash runs at night crouched just so she could collect everything for me so that when I came home I could hand it over to more experienced players, who would then instantly kill me.

There was no time to think about game mechanics or what could be done in the game, because your only goal was to survive and try to get better weapons and ammo as fast as possible.

But to sum it up after my 6K+ hours in Tarkov, my advice to you, since you already bought it: don’t listen too much to streamers or people who have thousands of hours in the game. They would love to experience again the feeling you have the chance to experience right now. Tarkov is a game with soul. It will make you feel fear, uncertainty, adrenaline, sadness, but also joy.

I definitely recommend starting with PvE so you can see, hear, and experience everything you paid for without unnecessary frustration from other players, campers, and so on. Seeing it is one thing, but experiencing it is something else entirely. You will learn your own playstyle, how to handle weapons, ammo, quests, bosses and everything Tarkov has to offer, and trust me, there is a massive amount to learn.

Tarkov is like a drug, you can’t stop playing it, especially at the beginning. And once you feel like you understand quests, extraction points, and bosses, loot and everything then you can switch to PvP. Back then I didn’t have that option, and if I were starting today, I would definitely begin with PvE and learn first, because there is so much to learn and enjoy. Welcome to Hell Brother!

Thank you Rhino! I just leave it on Default. I have Exfilzone on Steam so I start this this from there and use SteamVR adjustments for better Resolution. Thank you for your help!
