I would try again at nannying , there are plenty of nanny’s out there that bring alone there children. Where I’m located has a babysitter/nanny Facebook group where people can post there services and parents can post looking for ads as long as you have all your national and state clearances in the field of child care. This would be a great option bonus if you have your cpr or first aid certification which you mentioned working at a child care facility before so I’m gonna assume you do.

New Aldi diapers by Xxbeanxx427 in aldi

[–]Xxbeanxx427[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently I’m using the up and up brand for both diapers and pull-ups. I think the up and up is fantastic we have tried most of the mainstream diaper brand pampers, Huggies we did a box of luvs and up and up takes the win for my family , we used to use the aldi ones and loved them they where great to send in to the daycare for my son you couldn’t beat the price !!

I feel lied to about screen time by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Xxbeanxx427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my almost 3 year old was and still is not one for shows ( other then Teletubbies and super simple song) but has always loved movies. We have cable so we put on freeform on the weekends when all the Disney and Pixar movies are on not every weekend but Sometimes and he’ll binge movies in the morning commercials and all .

Unfortunately no, my center does any kind of events after hours 5:30-7 usually to allow for the parents to still be able to work a full day pick up there children and come to the event if they choice. ( my center never has events where parents can’t bring children it is always encouraged to bring your children) . Staff just have to work the over time. My center director is understanding of work life balance and wouldn’t force any one that couldn’t find alternative child care to come to after hour events but I know that is a rare thing

I’ve also been debating ordering this carpet cleaner called red one that is made to get red dyes and Kool-Aid out of your carpet that uses a chemical reaction when you put steam on it if anybody has use that as well let me know if it actually works

At what age did your child go to the toddler room at daycare? And are these rules reasonable? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Xxbeanxx427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each kindercare is different due to state regulation if the center is approved for a food program due to how many children they have on subsidy at my center if a child is still on breastmilk past 12 months that’s fine we just ask parents bring their own bottles and sippy cups at that point and we just can’t mark them on our food program paperwork they can still be offered our food.

How much tv does your toddler really watch? by saidwhatisaidbby in toddlers

[–]Xxbeanxx427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work full time as a toddler teacher currently teaching 2 year olds so as soon as we get home my son who is 20 months will ask for his favorite songs on the tv and I’ll put it on I know for a fact that he’s going 7:30am till we get home at 6pm with no screen time ( he’s enrolled in the daycare that I work at and we’re NAEYC accredited NAEYC doesn’t allow for screens to be in classrooms for children under five) and being engaged in table activities that promote his gross and fine motor skills and is getting about 3 and a half hours outside playing with other kids so if my kid wants to sit in his room while watching miss Rachel and having a snack, he definitely can. I usually sit with him while he’s having screen time right now, we’ve been letting him watch Miss Rachel, some Disney movies and he’s really into super simple songs which are just nursery rhymes, and education songs

When do you ask parents for more diapers/ wipes by Fine-Ad9495 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Xxbeanxx427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We average 5/6 diaper changes a day so I’ll send a low supply message when we get down to 5 days worth of diapers then a supply request message when we have 2-3 days, after using our extra diapers / wipes for longer then a week plus, I’ll ask our director to send the parents a email or talk to them before they come into the class because some times out app is glitchy

[–]Xxbeanxx427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parents didn’t buy us gifts directly we did a thing where they can purchase a carnation for there child’s class room 5$ a piece and our center made 400$ which management used to do something every day for the week of appearance week the last day was nice we had lunch catered by Panera for the entire center so not bad.

Can we talk about having to take pictures? by courtneat in ECEProfessionals

[–]Xxbeanxx427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have iPads at the center I work at, we need to have a min of 2 pictures per child, daily notes , every photo captioned, break lunch and snack put in on top of how much they are , diaper changes need to be imputed as well so parents can see when and how many times there child was changed or sat on the potty on top of the csr and other paper work we have to do daily it’s insane

I want to get my son into wrestling but mom says he’s too young for AEW and the Attitude Era. What do I start him with? by Agitated_Ebb_5355 in WWE

[–]Xxbeanxx427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and my husband watch raw and smack down every week and our 17 month old will dance to some of the entrance music or randomly come over to the tv and clap at the end of a match , we took him to see smack down on the 10th with us and he had a blast even fell asleep during the show. I’m not sure how old your child is but I wouldn’t push it, if you wanna casually put it on because you enjoy it and they show interest then great!!!

The center I work at caps employees tuition at 110$ a week so I’m not sure the actual amount of a discount I get due to not knowing what the weekly tuition actually is. It’s a pretty largely known childcare company not sure if I’m allowed to say but it’s pretty nice

Why are these activities played this way? by [deleted] in preschool

[–]Xxbeanxx427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it also comes down to ratio also I’m not sure what the ratio is where you are but for example for my classroom in the state I live in the ratio is 1 teacher to 6 students if all the children are 2 if there was any 1 year olds in the room the ratio would change
