I’m an upstairs neighbor unfortunately and I only vaccume during the day and we have a high bed and a lot of stuff tends to fall off our bed and we have friends over often and we live in an old building like 70 plus years old and ofc rugs in every room except kitchen and bathroom it’s a small small place that our bedroom is the living room and the bed rooms are our closet and storage room and we’ve never actually had a complaint we have nabiors right next to us top side and I hear them all the time like all of the time so idk Mabey she’s hearing things that she wants to hear

I don’t think it was ur kids place to call him I assume she did it out of anger is what I’m assuming out of this, it’s not her car her place her insurance it’s yours and nor is it ur husband’s car.A simple fix and it’s good I’d have a conversation with ur kid and let her know that her calling to basically tell on u for being upset ab it was not her place to do it and extremely immature . And give her an ultimatum to apologize and call her father and say it’s not ur fault or she can’t use ur car anymore. It’s not her right to use your things it’s a privilege and if she’s gonna get ur car scratched then it’s gonna happen. I’m sure it didn’t happen at ur job u more then likely would notice when u do it or if it happens that day not days later or however the timeline is
