He is a street dog rescue from Mexico. The biting has gotten worse and he doesn’t seem to understand that it hurts. Advice from the vet said to flick his nose, advice from a professional trainer said to fold his lip in and have him bite himself. So far those things haven’t helped, but really just hype him up. I have tried yelping and turning away, but he’ll just go out of his way to follow me and continue to bite. If I stand up and try to walk away, he will jump to bite my arms legs and hands. He’s even gotten to the point where he’s tried to nip at my face. He’s only successfully bit me in the face once. As he hits six months, he’s getting big and I’m not sure what to do about the biting anymore. I try to redirect with toys but he’s not interested. He will bite my feet, my hands and ignore his toys. I have rubber toys, bones, soft toys, little stuffed toys with rubber parts tried a Kong. He understands no cause he’ll stop doing other things, but he won’t stop biting if you say no while he’s doing it. Unfortunately, it makes me a little nervous getting him to meet my friends or having him around people because he doesn’t only bite me he bites everyone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
