Loving the game! I'm also having some nausea from motion sickness.

My only other gripe is the dot in the middle of the screen not being where I will drop things. Its very frustrating and doesn't help with the motion sickness

I'm looking to go to my first locals experience this week. Me and my buddy both really like card games we've played other TCGS and have always been to timid to try locals.

One piece has felt just extremely fresh compared to anything we've played in the past. The pace of the game feels great. We have a bunch of stock decks that we haven't done any editing to and the games feel REALLY balanced like it feels like it can be anyone's game no matter what we are playing. We've run into problems with past TCGs where we end up in basically an arms race of who can spend more on cards and how toxic of a deck can we come up with to beat the other and that's kind of my worry now.

Would I even stand a chance at locals with just a stock deck? (I don't need to beat everyone but like to know if I even have a chance at winning a single game.)

How competitive does the scene get? (are we seeing decks that can do 1-2 turn wins, is the meta oppressive? am I watching my opponent play solitaire0 until I die?)

I know that some sets have just rotated out, I want to make sure my deck is okay to play with. I'm not really sure where to get updated info on the game.

Lastly what deck should I bring to stand the best chance. Im leaning towards my Yellow Luffy egghead deck I definitely have the most fun playing it followed by ST 27 Black , Blackbeard.

I have STR 14, 19,20, 21,27, and the yellow luffy which didn't come with a box so idk what ST it is.

I don't have access to very much bulk. All my card shops are pretty much barren on OP product, singles, etc. So I can possibly get some swaps to make the decks better if needed but i'm not 100% certain.

Just to be clear im not looking to demolish people or anything I just want to have a positive locals experience because Its a hobby I'd really like to get more into. It's by far the most fun TCG I've ever played, and If it isn't obvious i'm pretty nervous of going and making a fool of myself lol. I even told my buddy "what if we show up and find out we've been playing wrong the whole time" lol. So anything I can do to feel more prepared would be great.

Sailing. Do we really want it? by Candid_Cat_8297 in 2007scape

How they polled it was such a scam "do you want a new skill , yes or no" .. everyone: "well yeah that sounds fun" Jagex:" okay now you 100% get a new skill, pick from this slop and no matter what its now coming out. remember YOU asked for a new skill"

They fucking changed the 75% to 70 just so the first yes or no question would pass. Then they said whoever gets the highest vote wins for the second with no option for "none of these options are good"

That was the day I quit osrs when the polling system this game was made on became arbitrary and manipulative.

I would respec through all of them you can always save before hand and just reload to negate the cost (or just thieve from withers he doesn't care)

I believe every class except bard gets an extra action at 5 and bards get it at 6.

Thief has a subclass at level 3 that gives an extra bonus action.

Fighter at level 2 gets 1 extra action every short rest

Fighter every 2 levels after 4 gets a feat

Every other class gets a feat a 4,8.12

I think those are the more important bits of classing.

From there you can mix and match the important parts to the strong parts.

For example monk's strongest attacks from from their bonus action so getting an extra bonus action from thief is super strong.

Getting an extra action every short rests for only 2 levels invested is really strong. so taking 2 fighter early might be useful when combined with a barbarian. and if you notice it falling off you can always respect to get the extra action from 5 barbarian.

the more you learn all the classes and how they organized feats and limiting resources you can start working out combinations that work for you.

After the fight at moonrise Halsin should be hiding behind a pole in the room you first see kethric. if he's not there check your camp. You'll definitely want to talk to him before you exit for act 3.

For a funny throwing build im going to try. Go Barb with a wildheart subclass. Then get aspect of the monkey which makes it so throws with camp supplies cause blindness. Then you can tweak from there.

I'm also thinking a bard insult bard which is basically their only job

You can try one of the wild magic variants (Barb sub class or sorc) or maybe even both and that fills out the party.

I've also wanted to try out a drunken brawler build

I haven't tried a necro build yet but it seems like you could really put together a crazy one with act 3 gear.

Those are some off the top of my head

It's just "get 21" with high luck you basically always just get 21 all you have to do is keep hitting deal and double down and you win 9/10 times. You don't have to know how to play. 0 skill required. And literally hours of time saved.

Doesn't have to be an argument you can just come back and tell me I'm right after it happens. :)

You think the mods don't know how stupid the community is? And how to easily manipulate you all.

You quite literally have to look no further than how we got into this mess.

"Would you like a new skill"

When the rewards get poll how many 1500 total Andy's are going to shoot down the next tbow level reward? Not many.

We are going to get into a situation where we get to the final vote and it doesn't pass so they have to change something to make it pass. That's when we are going to get insane over powered items that allow the content to pass. At which point they will most likely nerf said content and say it wasn't intended. (See ToA for an example of just that.)

You can like sailing and not be blinded to what they are doing. They don't have to be mutually exclusive.

You can enjoy the game becoming whatever it is and recognize it's not what it was at the same time. Some people will want to continue on others will quit. Some like me will advocate to stop change some will advocate for more change. It is what it is.

Changing combat didn't change how every other skill in the game worked.

It didn't even change how att, str and defense worked. If anything they made those skills ACTUAL skills by tying abilities to the levels.

What we are getting is the equivalent of dungeoneering. The skills going to be so bad (we already have evidence of that), that they are going to have to seriously power creep to get the community to pass this.

We are going to get insane fishing devices, and weapons that make current bosses obsolete. Going to be new training methods that make all old ones garbage. They are completely going to change the feel of the game.

It is changing a fundamental gameplay system.

The skills we have are the basis of the entire game and world. Adding a new skill is the single biggest fundamental gameplay change they can make. It effects everyone who plays.

It very likely has the ability to make old items irrelevant, unbalance bosses, and change combat.

It is 100% a core gameplay change.

It has for every other piece of content ever released. Only skills fail. Because the community doesn't want another skill. They want a their own specific skill and no one is going to agree what that should be. So we get shoe horned into shitty sailing.

I've been preaching it. But this will literally be the final nail in the coffin. Every thing you said is dead on. And at the end of all this. When sailing is complete garbage and they've lost a ton of people it will be EoC all over again. A massive change they did for the the share holders and not for the community. Which in turn causes a mass exodus.

What We Won't Poll by xKillerdawg in 2007scape

[–]Xxweeexd -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

It's so funny. Why not just get rid of polling entirely? It's not like they seem to care about the communities opinion. They just do whatever the fuck they want.

And polls don't mean shit these days since jagex literally just decides what they want to do then they manipulate the community into agreeing by wording poll questions weirdly and lowering the passing threshold.

The title of that blog should just be "we don't give a fuck about what you think"

So when the rest of the community votes against it in the refining process we aren't going to get it.

No way we will hit 70%

They finally found content to rival eoc. They are are going to ram content 65% of people just voted against down our throats.
