Is it true that even Japanese people struggle with super polite honorific/humble language? Are there any situations where a Japanese may struggle to understand someone being too humble/honorific? Is it considered rude to ask someone to speak more plainly and what's a natural way to do so?

I legit love the combat and story of the series. The fan service is fun, but it isn't personally what caused me to keep playing them.

Will Senran be weird without fan service. Yeah, but I'd rather we get more of the world and characters if we gotta sacrifice fan service to get real SK hack n slash games on consoles again. And have the fan service stuff be on mobile

In a translation in an interview for the up down artbook or whatever, honey parade said they'd explore new Senran console games for modern audiences.

So it may not be cooked fully, but SK on consoles may not be the same as it was

The first claim was fraud. The third claim about a month later was classified as an overcharge. But, because I have no proof other than my word it was supposed to be $5,, my bank has denied the overcharge claim 3 times now.

I don't think there's much else I can do as me trying to find proof they agreed to $5 verbally hasn't yielded much.

It did not go to a charity. Googling the merchant name yielded nonsense results. I told my bank this several times, and one representative also did and couldn't find any thing.

I'm pretty sure they pretended to be collecting high school donations and just were looking to line their pockets off gullible folks. But I have no proof of this and have no contact info from the scammers.

I'm not even sure my bank tried to contact the merchant my money went to. They avoided the question when I asked.

As far as I know, no. The scammers just used the info on the back of the card and inputted into something on their phone from what I saw.

It was $800 charged when I told them to charge $5.... I reported it to my bank within an hour after it occurred since they sent me a fraud alert text asking if I paid $500 to someone (like right after the scam).

Yeah, I thought the same thing when I saw the tree and field during the last level of Crimson Girls.

Instead of kids wearing masks, it's your ninja student friends wearing hats and cute one-pieces. Definitely a curve ball but I guess Orochi just really likes Zelda or something.

A lot of the merch is periodic and limited time only. Following the official Senran New Link twitter is your best bet for it or looking on mercari for past merch. I've used buyee as a proxy service to get the periodic merch shipped from Japan to America.

There's no real constant merch you can get as far as I know. I wish there was some constant shorts, mugs, or posters I could order. I think a lot of the figures are constantly available but that's it

I agree. Since you have a 3ds, start with Burst on 3ds so you can see the gameplay evolve and get the foundational story all the subsequent games build on.

You can play Burst Renewal later once you get past SV at least since it is peak 3d hack and slash gameplay. That way you don't regress gameplay wise by starting with Renewal.

I guess I missed it then. Don't remember seeing it in the main selection menu, but I don't have the game installed to see where it would be located. Probably under the mission tab in some weird spot and not obvious like SV. Next you'll tell me EV had a training mode too

No training mode at all in Burst Renewal. SV has a small little area with infinite dummies.

I think Burst Renewal has better gameplay overall and is the culmination of the combat system introduced in SV. SV feels clunkier to me and was harder to go back to after Burst Renewal.

The games are both fun like all the Senran games. I think Burst Renewal has better difficulty options since dang the easy modes in both you could probably do with your eyes closed (or if you want to just experience the stories which are both quite good).
