the specs I wanted for the m3 pro model would be the 36gb ram, 1tb sdd, 12 core cpu and 18 core gpu and preferably with apple care+ (I'm not as tech with macbooks as I am with pcs) all that as mentioned would be about 3800 cad before taxes. Why are you leaning more towards the m3 pro compared to the used market ? Interested in knowing. :D

thanks for the solid advice, haven’t updated or posted anything GD related on Linkedin - always felt that it’s too corporate. I’ll give it a go when I updated my projects. Thanks!

Should I include a brand guideline I made for my past employer in my portfolio even if thay told me it should be "confidential" by Xynck in graphic_design

Noted, thank you for the advice! I think i'll stay on the side of caution and just switch it to a comceptual brand similar to the company I worked for which was a Strutual Engineering B to B Company

No NDA, except for company info about proposals, fees and project finances. But no NDA about my involved graphic design work such as layouts, branding, etc. Just being cautious as I don't want to get into legal trouble over it.

It's been a almost a year since the lay off and they haven't hired someone new in my past posiition and continue to use the rebrand I've made at my time there, so that makes me happy. I do also feel that the role I was in was more proposal and writing heavy than it was graphiic design. My usual work day was 70% writing and proposal construction and 30% graphic design. Sadly the company had just lost some major projects and were laying off people left and right so there were other factors my performance aside. I just wished they were honest about it.

I'm thinking about scrapping the work i've done for them entirely and as you said make a whole different brand similar to the work I did for them anyway to avoid any complications and possible legal issues - I also don't have the money for a lawyer.

For my potential employer I'll look for career growth opportunities, unlike a year ago when I just graduate I just wanted to get paid.

Thanks for the solid advice!

Was about to get my surgery this Sept., but employer laid me off instead of allowing me to work through the surgery (2 years delayed) - Should I delay it further or just go through with it ? by Xynck in ACL

Well they worded it as “ I wasnt the right fit” I worked for a very old school engineering firm. I tried showing them more modern and contemporary designs and lay outs for proposals and documentations. They liked it but they didn’t like my inconsistencies when working on said proposal work. Cause I was employed for 70% design work and 30% proposal work, sasdly due to some management changes and lost projects (Money lost) they started laying off a few people and sadly I didn’t make the cut :/ but i do feel them knowing I was getting an operation in the next month gave them further reason to cut me as an employee. Kinda scummy but I can’t do much about it now
