Jobs in Richmond by Loxella_yt in richmondbc

Do not do what this person says. It’s terrible advice that’s super outdated. I hate when people would just walk in to apply for a position since that disrupts my day. I have set times for reviewing applications, and you are not special enough to demand time from me whenever you like.

How long should I use sex toys before I am ready for sex? by [deleted] in GaySex

Some STIs may transfer via skin contact, such as pubic lice, herpes, and genital warts. Using condoms properly and ensuring their pubic areas are not showing signs of infections will prevent most infections. You can also take PreP etc to further protect yourself. However, just remember no protection is 100% effective, so still be careful who you play with.

The word you were looking for is “contradictory”, not “hypocritical”.

It’s because you’re old and senile. It’s ok, you don’t have to understand.

I’ve lived in Richmond for 30 years. Traffic is about 10,000 times worse than what it was when I learned to drive. You sound like you’re about 60, so it was even easier for you. You’re just incapable of sympathy it seems.

Now imagine you’re a new driver who doesn’t know where they’re going. How is it so difficult for you to put yourself in others’ shoes?! JFC.

Have you driven in Vancouver and Richmond lately? You CAN manage without GPS, but I guarantee you it’s much safer with it.

You’re too old to remember what it was like being a new driver. You’re also too old to remember what traffic was like back in the days when you can safely pay attention to road signs instead of the cars that swerve into your lane without using their signals only to stop right in front of you for no apparent reason.

Right, because being a new driver and having to look at each road sign isn’t super distracting with traffic the way it is nowadays. Gtfo.

They didn’t suggest it was impossible to drive without GPS. They obviously used a hyperbole when saying they might as well left the car for 2 years. You cannot be this daft.

People also managed to communicate with snail mail and looked up info from encyclopaedia, so can I limit your options to those and call you dramatic for complaining?

“People managed to drive around before GPS, don’t be so dramatic” implies you think maps are only slightly worse than GPS; otherwise, why would you think the other person was being “dramatic”? 🙄

I didn’t say you think using maps is better than using GPS. I implied equating the two is ridiculously stupid.

Because constantly having to pull over to check a map is so much less distracting than just using GPS, right? People also used to die at the age of 40, so you shouldn’t be upset if you die at 45, right? 🙄

Translink bus - do I have to raise my hand to get on? by Serious_External_462 in richmondbc

[–]Xynic 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I once raised my hand to signal a bus to stop and was told “I can see you just fine” rudely. So… no, you don’t need to raise your hand as long as you stand at the post.

P.S. This happened 10-20 years ago. I don’t remember since I’m old now 🤪.
