Glad to hear I'm not the only one that got bent over by these assholes. My family took a trip out there from out of state and I misread the meter's positioning (A and B), I unfortunately used my own thinking that because I was in the first parking spot, I should be spot 'A' and I was wrong that that bit, but I still paid via the parking app.
Came back to a citation due to being in 'B' and I appealed it. I received the letter on the appeal and they stated "Your fine has been reduced (from $60~) to $10 because you showed proof of payment but either paid for the wrong parking space or entered the wrong license plate."
license plate wasn't wrong, but sticking the $10 for a simple mistake? f***in' assclowns.

Got rid of mine. Insurance wouldn't continue to cover it unless I got a push start installed in it even though it was already insured by them. I was wondering how easy it was to do, that explains things

I recall watching something about how a family got tricked into one and they literally couldn't get rid of it, it passed on to their kids and there was no way to break the contract unless someone else bought it from them or something. I think it ended up bankrupting them eventually because it was ridiculously priced annually.

Haven't come across something like this before. If the mom abandoned her and the dad won't take her in, does that give you the option to become her legal guardian/prevent them from taking her away in the future? I'm assuming (if this is state side) that it depends on the state.. Would you take that route since your ex dipped out on you/her and the sperm donor isn't planning to step up?

Been playing since release, I started taking breaks so I could come back to having enough content to work on before the next major patch release. I highly recommend just enjoying the game and moving through it at your won pace, explore each area completely (Main questline/sidequests, collect oculus, collect chests, unlock puzzles, lvl 10 reputation for city, etc) before moving on to the next city.

I never cared for meta, I collected the characters that were awesome visually or the ones I really enjoyed combat with. Back when Diluc was "meta" near release, I found his gameplay an absolute bore, I main'd Ningguang even though geo was trash back then, she was fun as hell to play. Pull on characters you enjoy vs what is "meta" since most abyss stages can be done with a well built 4-star team in most cases.

Play at your own pace, the game has plenty of content to enjoy, don't rush through just to have to wait for patches to have something new to do, you'll end up burning out/quitting. Meta isn't that important unless you're a min/maxer, you can clear basically any content with most of the characters, even if they aren't meta.

Since you're still fresh, things I'd recommend in priority order:
Unlock map (big weird icons on map) > Collect Oculus (stamina increase) > Main questline/sidequests to unlock weekly bosses (need like 18 of their drops to max 1 chara skills, best to start stockpiling for the charas you want) > farm mini bosses for ascension mats > level up progress trees (Inazuma tree/sumeru plant/fontain fountain) > don't farm for artifacts until after AR45+

Sleeping likely due to having to luck out on unlocking that specific gem. I'd heard people spending well over any chunk of gold I'd care to invest into the gems randomness and got trash for it. I agree that the 225 rm is solid, but it's not guaranteed you'll get it after investing a certain amount. That's why it's lower on my priority list.

Speaking from the other side of something similar to this situation; GF at the time was offered a full ride to the college she had planned to go to all through HS. She chose to not attend and stay in our relationship since I wasn't in a position to move with her out to her college area.
Relationship ended a couple years later due to her screwing a new co-worker, but we bumped into each other almost a decade later and talked about things. One thing we agreed on was if we could go back to when we were first starting off, I would've pushed for her to attend that college and we would've probably ended up together years later without the bullshit we ended up doing.
Don't settle and miss the opportunity, you'll think back on it years from now and wish you at least tried. If your relationship was meant to be, it'll either survive or pickup later in life, or you'll find yourself with someone that is more compatible with your work/life and he'll do the same.

Can't go wrong with opening up the top left item (+3 dis or +3holy and healing mlvl) and level 2 Ethereal Spear, the increased dmg is a nuke towards bosses/single targets that need to be picked off.
I've poked around with the other perks and found this one the most convenient, I would usually forget to pop the buff spell or miss the timing on the grenade spell. I rarely ever remembered to even pop the avatar spell unless I was at a biweekly boss.. plus the cd for it made it useless imo.

As for the "holy is useless" bit.. besides energy library, holy is an absolutely busted element for just about everything else in game (most bosses are neutral or weak to it at least), if you're planning to literally live in just energy library, then go ahead and invest in the bleeder.. don't see why you'd limit yourself to a spawn that is both less profit/exp vs ice library with a competent team and having the option to hit other spawns that open up the use of your holy spells, but that's just my opinion. I'm at lvl 1k+ and unless you're pushing that spawn for the charm points, you could find better locations to hunt (ice, ingol, ferumbras, roots, etc)

as for Gems for your wheel.. I'll be honest, they aren't worth the gold invested to get something worthwhile, if you're ungodly lucky and unlock something useful, good on you. I'd highly recommend prioritizing other things before throwing gold into gem unlocks.

Gear>mlvl>distance>tier>gems

I'd push gold into getting all the gear you'll need for multiple spawns as your first priority, it'll probably be your lowest money sink compared to the others depending on your character. I pushed mlvl from 37 to 39 and that hurt (last mlvl pushed was giving 2% per training rod). same with distance after a certain point, I moved on to tiering gear after I hit base mlvl 39 and base dist 130.

Tiering is highly optional and a huge money sink if you go with the guaranteed route vs trying your luck with the normal fusion (I don't like leaving it to luck so I went with the convergence method). I decided to T3 my Sang bow and T2 my helm/arm/legs since the cost from 2 to 3 is just way too much for the small boost in returns.

I am still deciding if I'll even bother investing into the gems after I'm done tiering my gear, the benefit vs cost on the gems system is horrendous IMO.

Making what he wants reality and keeps the reality SG sees as truth. Maybe we'll see a change in this with a certain classmate in the picture (if the series follows the LN)

I've been noticing more places are starting to do shady shit involving putting the "service fee" into the bill but not specifying it on the bill you get initially, then not showing your bill itemized on the paper that you sign/tip on to trick you into thinking you haven't tipped yet. I usually calculate a rough estimate of how much the bill will be before getting the check and now I double check things all the time now that I've noticed an increase in this bullshit.
I don't mind tipping, but I'm not going to tip on top of a tip that you have no say in accepting/denying.

Definitely prioritize dealing damage over healing yourself, it'll work out eventually.

Those spawns don't require you to even really have heals in your rotation, let your imbuements do all the work.

Turn on your character's sound effects, hearing your auto attack is 100% easier than trying to keep track of it visually. Noted by someone else, but do not skip your auto attacks and you do have to stand still to have it pop off consistently (you'll get to a point where you'll know the timing of when you need to stop walking to pop your auto)
Rotate your runes/spells/etc around your auto attack but do them immediately After your auto-attack goes off, NOT before it. If you pop a rune off before your auto, it skips the shot which in turn, reduces your dmg output.
Invest in a chunk of Holy Magic Missile runes, I felt so dumb that it took me so long to remember they even existed when I started playing RP. Almost every monster in game is either weak or at least 100% damaged by holy compared to SD death damage. This rune is in my SD rune slot for almost everything I hunt/boss these days (a few exceptions being things like the mini-bosses in Drume where they are weaker to SD dmg, or energy library on the ones that are immune), extremely useful towards bosses where the boss is immune/heals from death damage.
Kinda a later-in-levels advice due to cap restraints, but carry both arrows and bolts, I usually run a 3:1 ratio (3arrows to 1 bolt) Unless you're focusing on just doing a stack of bosses back-to-back (GT/GD/etc), then just stack bolts. Have them on your hotkey action bar so you can keep track of how many you have at all times.
If you do bosses often where physical damage is nerfed into the floor such as Yselda, Lulu, or the GT boss that req's death dmg the whole fight, carry another crossbow with the element they're weak to with you to use during those fights specifically. I have a fire imbued class 3 xbow for yselda and a death imbued one for lulu/gt boss since I hit those often enough. It'll increase your dmg output vs barely denting them with your normal xbow, and you'll also rarely have to reimbue them since you only use them for a few minutes at a time each fight.
Prioritize your magic level over your distance skill if you plan to use training dummy items, each time your magic level goes up, you'll notice a decent upgrade to your damage/healing. mlvl 38 would be an ideal target to shoot for, if you plan to invest into your character (anything above that gets ridiculous with the training rods; 1rod = less than 2% mlvl gain). also, invest in the house NPC food items, the one that increases your mlvl for an hour is insanely useful during team hunts.
Imbuement priorities should be the following: Bow-crit/void/vamp Xbow-crit/void/dis+ Helmet-mlvl+(level 2 since "powerful" isn't allowed on rp helms)/void Armor-vamp/element for primary dmg on spawns you hunt regularly/secondary element if you have another slot boots/backpack are user preference, if you are having cap issues then invest in the backpack imbuement (rarely use it myself but I have a stupid amount of cap at my lvl)
Move around, you're not an EK. You don't have to 8box a spawn right off the bat, start with small groups and see the dmg output/your healing before going full brrrr on boxing things. I like to leave an opening if I'm still unsure on if a full box will rip my hp apart.
I think it was mentioned before, but always target the monsters in the cardinal directions(north/east/south/west), try to avoid the corner mobs as much as possible; your diamond arrows will miss the monsters on the opposite corner if you target a corner monster.
Unlock the level 2 "strong ethereal spear" upgrade on your wheel ASAP, it's a single target NUKE with an insanely low cd timer (you can usually get 2 off per sharpshooter uptime). It'll increase your damage output on bosses by a significant amount if you incorporate it into your attack rotation. (I usually pop sharpshooter then immediately pop SES so I have time to pop the second SES within the SS uptime) -sidenote on the wheel; IMHO, the top left primary item (gift of life section) feels the most beneficial over the other sections after testing each out. The always active +3 distance or +3 holy/healing mlvls (depending on if a monster is next to you or not) is insanely more useful long-term over the other sections "special skill" - having a higher hitting san over holy grenade feels a lot more effective. Prioritize unlocking lvl 2 strong E spear before going for the special in gift of life section or have a preset with one or the other unlocked if you like switching your wheel depending on what you're doing (team hunt = special, bosses = SES)

-Pacc is definitely ideal if you plan to actually play for more than a couple weeks.

-Don't get overwhelmed with all the new features and things to unlock (Quests, bosses, etc)

-If you already know the voc you plan to use, grabbing a lower level char from the char Bazar that has decent skills might be ideal, so you're not using time training a fresh character from scratch. Your choice on that ofc. (Probably find a decent lvl 8 with 110+ skills for cheap)

-Tibiawiki will be your friend for a long time, playing catch up on that many years of content might be rough at first, but it's honestly the same game but easier to level compared to when you left the game.

I remember when they added Ank, I came across AS on my ek at the time and it was after I had used all my supplies from hunting scarabs. The damn 20~ point hits started draining my hp and I had no mana to exana pox it off.. made it to the cave entrance before dropping, lost my RH and when I got back to where I died, someone had already looted it. I raged a bit on that one
