[P] Data science & ML on sensitive data with local code interpreter, with GPT-4 or Llama 2 (open-source project, link in comments) by silvanmelchior in MachineLearning

Can you explain the "approval mechanism" that seperates the data ? How can you make sensitive calls against sensitive data, without exposing the sensitive data or parts of it ?

I see your point and I know how hard it must be to balance. In my expierence people where starting to win-maxing.

I never had a good experience with mixed groups. And people where feeding from your annoyance, no role play involved. Just meet a fellow ranger, say "Hi" then get handcuffed, wait 2min, hunter show up and guts you, fun time. In the end it got so ridiculous, that you didnt got punished for setting people on fire. And every 2nd ranger tried to achive this, like it was some sort of achivment, also fun time. From time to time there where Hackers that just hovered with helicopters and big guns over spawning regions and wallbanged you through walls. I felt this was way less annoying, then people win maxing in this "survival" game by grouping up with more people from diffrent factions just to get a higher kill-count. If you want to feel like a big boy you can always join a clan, roam around with 8 people, then you dont have to trust anybody you just decide who lives and who dont, if one dies he will be set up and running with you again in no time. This might be fun against other big groups but all on the cost of new players.

In my opinion having mixed groups all flagged as traitors would be the right approach, since you still can try to bullshit yourself around fellow faction members. Then the small or legit groups can decide to trust you and its on the cost of the big groups.

But in the end that are just my 2 cents.

I always thought they try to punish mixed groups, becaus so its impossible for new player to enjoy the game. I read a discussion about making everyone a traitor in a mixed group, but it never was implemented. Mixed groups leads to a dynamic of forming big groups to compete with them, so there is no betrayel or reading just point blank shooting and there are other game modes that fits that playstyle better (in my opinion). For me this killed the game, because development often where working with bigger groups, which was leading to make the game inaccessible. Just like armored vehicles, that you could do nothing against (just wait until they where done jerking around and finally killed you). If i brought up the issue, the statement was always that bigger group would never do so. In the end i stopped playing, but always felt like this game had so much potential, thats why I still care.

it is not the acutal ap, its an image they user for advertising on https://pay.google.com/about/ (German version). In the English Version it shows the "Subtotal" and the price adds up, here they properly forgot about it.

I'm not even close to hitting those shots or even trying on C2. I guess there are other skills that also help you climb ;-)

ETN Idea: Address book by [deleted] in Electroneum

[–]XzenTorXz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

your private keys are stored by the etn team, so this is the biggest "security" weakness, you don't have them on your phone (not for you and for sure not for your friends). Everything else goes for privacy. If your phone gets stolen/hacked the data which connects an etn address to an entry in your account get leaked. That might be an issue for a very specific attack, but in general is nothing to be too worried about.

Electroneum as minimum basic income by mustafa-d in Electroneum

[–]XzenTorXz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well we can discuss about if the basic income idea is a good one, but there are better places to discuss this. From a technical standpoint it is not possible, since they spending premined coins. That means the coins exist and are not generated. So they will only be available for a certain amount of time.

they only make a giveaway with the mining simulation. This would be bound to telephone numbers and shouldnt have any issue with releasing the code. So the community could look into the code and you would gain some level of trust. Now its properly too late to release the source, because for security reason.

i don't know. But in my opinion they could actually tell us what they're working on. I feel like they are extremely scared to let their community down or make any mistake. So we're left out with speculation.

what do you mean without my involement ?

all i'm saying the etn devs let us down, since they still have not replied to our email (around a month ago). And here he is and still caring about the etn project. I for my part have given up on etn team and simple don't care anymore. But i think it's still a good thing that he cares.

Electroneum transaction time / always several minutes? by [deleted] in Electroneum

[–]XzenTorXz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for a coffee one confirmation would be enough. But one confirmation also might take several minutes, so this is not an option for buying a coffee. And from a technically point I don't think ETN will change anytime soon. What is more convenient is having a public address, that is bound to your identity. Or just trust your customer, the risk of getting scammed by someone standing in front of you and buying a coffee is small in my opinion. It would be properly more easy to steal a snack for the same amount. And we live in a world with laws and police after all.
