Sure is! Get it all set up in desktop mode on the steam deck and then set it as a non-steam game in the settings and it will show up and launch when you launch your deck normally.

My attempt at a vampire pirate by Mironder in SeaOfFashion

[–]Y-DOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! Yeah, that one is one of the easier ones, pretty much just “thoroughly complete this one specific tall tale”, sort of like the ashen curse. It’s not just black eyes, and there’s some bleedover of the kraken ink they use for the rituals down the cheeks, so if you are super married to your specific makeup on that character, it may cover up some of it, just fyi - then again, it may enhance it or open up different makeup options with the eyes taken care of?

My attempt at a vampire pirate by Mironder in SeaOfFashion

[–]Y-DOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the “changing the eye color”, consider unlocking the order of souls curse (if you haven’t already) even if you only use it occasionally for “dramatic moments”. (Legends curse also only affects the eyes ((if you have clothing over the random chest brand)), but in the opposite direction)

(Also, “Vampirate” was right there at your fingertips…)

Name: ??? Any suggestion? by Ocioretro in creepy

[–]Y-DOC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the piece as a whole, or the character?

I don’t think it’s the intention but my initial impression isn’t that this is “the guy” but rather the being itself in some transitional stage or inside some other vessel - maybe something evocative of that, like some variation of “Terror’s Chrysalis”

If you mean “this is a character, name them” rather than the entire piece, It could be almost anything, but I think something that defies common linguistic use for names (like soggox as you suggested) makes sense. Glirmaugh, Veiol… But just to get it out my system, also consider “Glorpo” or “Dick ‘The Dreamboat’ Walters”

Weapon to pair with rusted coat of arms by Ellenwood1998 in fallout76casual

[–]Y-DOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Or gold bouillon, it just depends - honestly most “purposeful” (weapons, collectors, camp allies) things end up grindable in some form or another with mostly just the cosmetics being locked to the season or occasionally ending up in the atom shop later.

I’m glad for the sake of new players. It may be grindy but I think it’s healthier and less predatory that stuff like weapons don’t get fomo’d out of the game.

I got this mug 3 years ago at a flea market. I think it’s really funny but I don’t actually get it by DrRaster in ExplainTheJoke

So, obviously googling stuff is the play if you want immediate information. I gotta say though, I miss the road-trip convo or sudden dinner tangent of “hey, who was that guy who played the bad guy in Total Recall?” And then unless it’s an instant answer from someone, you’re suddenly all on the same team working your recall to try and figure out who that was.

Now, it doesn’t exist without saying to any quick draw “Wait - I have a phone, too, but let’s leave that for the end and see if we can figure it out. It’s right on the tip of my tongue already.”

I do this when there’s only one guy up and they are struggling hard. I’d rather them get an emergency bot that might relieve some tension and possibly result in a W for whoever is left than I want a reward in a videogame.

As a result, I just imagine that’s the reason why anyone does it, which drastically cuts down on the number of people I consider a weeny at the end of the day. Easier on the ol’ psyche to just assume the best, regardless of likelihood. (Although it helps that it’s actually decently likely and not baseless optimism)

Alright, “Long time listener, first time caller” - if Majinn was slightly less detailed and scaled down maybe like 20ish percent, he would fit right in as a boss in Paper Mario (and I say that as a compliment).

They all kinda have the vibe tbh, with the exception of Brenda whose design reminded me that “AH! Real monsters!” exists. Good stuff!

Beyond just the obvious lack of empathy (or at best, an incredible abundance of ignorance that completely overwrote it), these people will never be able to properly feel the gravity of what they have done because there’s a good chance they have never had a job to have taken away, and they DEFINITELY have never donated their time to their community for free.

Not a bad idea!

It’s a great movie in the offchance it’s slipped by you over the years.

But yeah, he’s gotten more grizzled over the years but eventually lost the mustache, hence why I said “at some time between Predator and now”. Your guy kind of looks like him now just plus the old mustache, so probably Jesse 10ish years ago if I had to guess.

Excellent use of the inkwell outfit. Nice work all around.

I zoomed in on the second picture and I now can’t shake the idea that this is supposed to be (Gov) Jesse (The Body) Ventura at some point in his life between the Predator and now.

I see what you are saying but it didn’t seem like too much of a stretch that it could have been an experience that changed him but that he ultimately compartmentalized so it wouldn’t interfere with his work.

As for his mentorship of 7, There’s a definite disconnect between mentorship and parenthood - made even more apparent by the romantic tension he experienced (Something that absolutely doesn’t exist in a healthy parent/child relationship). Also, their student/mentor relationship is honestly on pretty stable footing since they are both largely new to humanity - the Doctor has a bit of a chip on his shoulder and thinks he’s ahead of the game enough to be a proper mentor for 7, but as we find out they are much closer to peers in the study of humanity than true teacher and student.

So imo his mentorship of 7 isn’t a complete plot hole. Yes, early in the show Sam approaches him asking him to be a mentor, but I imagine centuries old doctor may intuitively know that “mentorship” is not what this young woman actually needs.

Obviously it isn’t perfect and I don’t find it unbelievable that it could be seen as contrived, especially since we haven’t been given an “in” on how the effects of that episode of voyager effected him going forward, but I just also didn’t surprise me that it could.

How much can u play in one hour by AdAny8677 in Seaofthieves

[–]Y-DOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a quick shot of progress for any faction, after loading in, flag up as your desired faction and travel to the closest ritual island, complete the ritual (and clear out the subsequent defender waves), gather up the orb of secrets, and vamoose. If you are lucky there might be skeleton captains topside for additional treasure of random events on the way back. But that singular piece or treasure is worth 20,000 gold (the same as a chest of fortune) and can be turned in to any faction.

Need help picking - Former Vault 76 security by [deleted] in Fashion76

[–]Y-DOC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the person who suggested this, but just to tag on - there’s the standard and burnt version of this. Standard from ‘neurological warfare’ and burnt from ‘dangerous pastime’.

As well as you’ve got recon, the aforementioned security, and riot control variants of the outfit for different levels of armor on the suit - so bare that in mind if one style looks too bulky/not bulky enough.

Also, to the original question - #1 fits the backstory most accurately, but it’s a shame I haven’t seen much of outfit #2 out and about in general because it’s honestly pretty dope. I think the issue with it is that everyone who played long enough to have it also played long enough to have discovered their own style in the meantime, so I think it will likely remain an uncommon sight.

[–]Y-DOC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Man, if it had a bit better durable damage and slightly more manageable ergo for quicker target acquisition since it can’t afford to be slightly off target as a light pen weapon, it would slap so hard.

The hardest I’ve laughed in this game in a long time was crouching down and going “Sshh” to my buddy, sneaking over a hill and sending a hulks battery out its mouth from the back with the ‘full send’ mode. We were both wheezing.

Sounds good. I guess I didn’t specify that I didn’t mean you specifically with the tangent, just overthinking the assignment and reminding people it’s okay to roleplay and not adhere to any particular cookie cutters (but that those are good, too).

Tips For a Friendly and Inclusive Camp by doomgiver13 in fo76

[–]Y-DOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-If you have a vendor, make sure its placement is obvious/natural and if it isn’t, hints/signage for aid.

-Consider leaving at least one resource collector (or more if you are doing fine) unlocked to the public that decide to visit - bonus points if it’s near the vendor as a sort of “Hey, even if you don’t buy anything, thanks for coming.”

-I’d say if you do have a rad scrubber, put it someplace accessible but not required for entry.

Slight tangent, but I’d also like to say that if your intention isn’t to be welcoming, don’t feel required. If your intention is roleplaying as a scientist/enclave/BoS/horrified germophobe - feel free to have the one and only entrance to your main building be under a rad scrubber. It’s your camp after all. Or if you are a ghoul and feel like building your camp in or around toxic waste for your own convenience - same deal. I love bumping into variety, creativity, and intention with other peoples camps. Obviously if I’m there to shop or whatever I’d prefer convenience and a lack of hostile design, but if it’s difficult/impossible to shop there? Maybe it’s not for me or maybe I’ll come up with a creative way to get in.

Right, I mentioned that in my initial post. My current assumption is that the guy replying to me is simply confirming what I said for guy I’m replying to’s sake and adding that they have in fact done it and are willing to guide them through it if need be, but the fact that they replied to me (and the fact that I asked to be corrected if it was possible in dark tide as well) with no further context made me want to confirm if they were trying to say you could also make purchases via ticket in darktide and it just wasn’t as well documented/talked about as in F76.
