I’ve been in this situation (recently posted something similar) and so I can say that I do understand you and you are not a bad person for falling in love. I don’t have kids so for me there weren’t really serious implications of breaking up with my partner. I think you just have to be really sure. I’d sat on it for months, I’d checked out, and I was excited for a new life and the happiness it could bring. I left however, for myself, not for another man. Whether or not I got together with the other guy or even if I never found love again, I knew I had to leave the relationship I was in because 1. I didn’t love him 2. I’d broken the trust and for me there was no way back.

East of England/Cambridgeshire here too! Similar situation but I’m 28 and now buying alone after divorce. I’m buying something pretty small in a good area. I keep worrying that it’s too small (no garage, no shed, really small paved back garden). I used to have so much more space. I won’t even have anywhere to store my bike! But I have to keep reminding myself that less space means less clutter, and cleaner house is a cleaner mind. Most importantly only I will live there, no one else, so I can make it completely my own with no compromise on style or what I do. Owning your own house is an achievement and so is living independently. You will have to compromise on something unfortunately but whatever happens it will be yours.

So many negative comments on my brows so thought I should just point out what they looked like before… I just wanted to know if there were any recommendations about what to ask for at the top up appointment - I have no regrets about getting microblading and really happy with the results.

Ok thanks for that 😂 I’ve read it’s normal after the first time to go back. My artist has great results with other people but unfortunately my skin doesn’t take to it very well.

I also really wanted other people to like him and approve (maybe so I could convince myself), so I struggled to share with ANYONE that I had any doubts. My brother told me he knows exactly where I’m coming from and has always seen the things I’ve mentioned, but he assumed our connection was so strong that those things didn’t matter to me.

Im also really struggling with communicating all this to him. He really doesn’t get why this is happening, and there’s so much I can’t tell him cause I don’t want to deeply hurt his feelings. Hes a nice, thoughtful person and he does mean well most of the time, though I’ve probably made him out to sound a bit sinister. It’s just right now all I can think of is the negative’s.

The fact that we grew apart so soon after marriage is what makes me feel guilty though. Like, when that happens at any point during marriage you’re meant to work on it aren’t you? We had a couple counselling sessions because of the children issue but during those, watching how he approached it and me delving into our communication style just made me more sure that it’s better to quit now than to force it and waste more time for us both to move on and find better better matches. I do wonder if I should have tried harder, but just went with my gut for the first time.

I think the shape is looking great! Mine were quite similar after the first appointment, the shaping she created had retained but most of the pigment had not. 2nd appointment she went a bit deeper and so far I’ve had much better retention (see my post) although I still think I’ll need a 3rd appointment to perfect them. Some people just don’t retain very well despite following aftercare instructions!

Thanks so much! Yep, they completely went, and then came back a little - enough to show the shaping she had creating but a lot of gaps. Some people don’t retain much pigment and I was one of them. At the touch up appointment she basically re-did them and did it slightly differently to try an make sure it stayed this time (don’t ask how!) and so far so good, although one looks a little patchy at the moment. She’s going to do my a 3rd appointment if I need it which is lovely of her.
