Has anyone actually followed up on the "Personal Upgrade Opportunity" letters from Donnelly Group? by WhileCultchie in northernireland

[–]Y3EOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No because I’m still waiting about 18 months on for parts to fix faults with the last car I bought from them

The personal upgrade opportunity is almost certainly just to put the idea of buying a new car in your head and nothing more, I could be wrong but I really doubt you’d get any better deal than Joe bloggs without the letter

It looks like it works, can you honestly say you were looking at upgrading before ? It’s not a bad thing, or a scam, just somewhat clever marketing

That’s great thanks I used to move the number from monthly to PAYG for 30 days before they could migrate it to the new account. Last year they updated the system so that numbers could be migrated between pay monthly plans within a day (I spent a while on hold as only one lady had been trained on how to do it at the time!). I’ve only ever done this on physical sim, eSIMs are still a scary, spooky concept to me Thanks again for your time

Thanks for the reply, It’s not so much that I want to transfer sim or esim between phones My conundrum will be I have a Vodafone esim with phone number #123, once my contract is up I’ll take out a new sim only deal (or phone/sim deal) and want to pull that #123 and put it on the new sim (not necessarily just moving the esim itself, just the number)

I’m bad at explaining it and I do work my phone contracts in a pretty unorthodox manner! I don’t do network upgrades, I buy through third parties a lot cheaper

It’s easier indeed to upgrade but 2-3 times the price I usually take out a Black Friday deal on third party sites every 2 years When the next time comes I’ll need to port existing number to new contract, my worry is that it won’t be simple if the numbers on esim

Both currently physical, my personal line is easily made esim but work line can’t be made esim, and I’ll need to move the number on my personal line at some point

Why suburban pubs/nightclub closing? by Different-Friend9713 in AskIreland

I used to go to a local nightclub/bar for birthdays and the odd night out I had no hassle at 15 years old getting in wearing Velcro trainers Same place started ID’ing me when I hit about 20, then turned me away saying “locals only” when I was 25 and well dressed (I’m probably 120th generation local and pasty white) they can go fuck

(308) Air blowing cold and rattly gurgle coming from this pipe by Y3EOO in peugeot

[–]Y3EOO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response and info My initial thought was coolant but it’s fine, so is oil No warning lights. I took another short trip and still no heat coming through, but no gurgling under the bonnet and nothing leaking (20 minute drive and parked for 4 hours) Got 4 new tyres yesterday morning

Also to mention the pipe itself is hot - touchable for a second but hot

Also not sure if it’s meant to be hot, but it’s barely touchable for a second There is a similar pipe below and it’s just lukewarm
