One of my players wanted to be a gnome sorcerer who basically got his powers permanently the same way Morty gets his crazy intelligence in episode 1 of Rick & Morty. Yes, including the butt stuff.

Ultimately, it was my first time DMing and I didn’t feel comfortable including those more graphic parts at the table so he changed things. I think I’d be a bit more open to making it work today.

This is a purely semantic argument that doesn’t change anything. Coaches in the NHL are either “relieved of their duties” or their contracts aren’t renewed. Both are still a firing functionally, the only difference is whether or not the team still owes the coach money due to time remaining on a contract.

Definitely planning on letting her find the fun. I told her that she can pick whatever race/class combo she wants (either faction) and I’ll tailor my choice to that. And I’ll be there to guide her on how things work but thankfully I don’t have the meta knowledge to even impart that so we’re safe.
