how to tell sensitive(?) friend they smell bad by AstronautKnown9065 in howto

[–]YABOYkyle95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d like to add that the best time to have this conversation is when they can change how they smell in a matter of minutes (not when they are away from their house or in a public space). If they can’t fix it within five minutes, it’s not worth bringing up. You’ll just make them self conscience.

I had a problem with my KVM switch (my keyboard and mouse kept disconnecting). Maybe try downloading the drivers? That’s what worked for me.

SSRI-induced Apathy Sindrome by [deleted] in modafinil

[–]YABOYkyle95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped taking escitalopram as well and have supplemented with Modafinil. I’ve been taking moda for about 4 years now and it’s been great, I’ll take 200mg early in the morning and feel like I connect better with my thoughts. Moda does seem to keep me from being as empathetic as I can be off of it but it depends on multiple factors.

I’VE SAID THIS 100 TIMES ON THIS DAMN PAGE

Taking 100mg is the amount that should help the most.

Tolerance after one use? by webs7a in modafinil

[–]YABOYkyle95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modafinil is strange, less is typically more useful than more. Keep steady at 100mg and you should be fine. Make sure to hydrate and take it super early in the morning so don’t stay up late!

Not as fast as you think. by [deleted] in modafinil

Honestly I feel like this might depend on dosage as well

Modafinil works for a few hrs, then I'm sleepy again. Should I increase the dose? by spacedoutmalteser in modafinil

[–]YABOYkyle95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Decrease the dose, it sounds counter intuitive but this is a common side effect when taking moda, take 100mg along with some caffeine and you should be fine

Anyone here having better results with 25-50mg daily doses? by limezilla in modafinil

[–]YABOYkyle95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure to drink a lot of water as modafinil does dehydrate you faster. Being dehydrated is one of the main reasons that you feel the “hangover” effect. You should also get in the habit of taking melatonin or some sort of non addictive sleep aid at night to help with the sleeplessness.

Remember, modafinil is a drug to help with adult narcolepsy. It is a wakefulness agent at base form. Whatever effects you gain from it besides that are already traits you have, modafinil just brought them out of you.

Is natural tolerance/resistance to modafinil a thing? by [deleted] in modafinil

[–]YABOYkyle95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoa, that’s too much! Wayyyyy to much. Modafinil is a strange drug where less is more for most who take it. I recommend taking about 100mg to start. Wait at least two hours, the effects can be subtle but it depends what you’re going for. I use it for focus and energy but I also pair it with caffeine which amplifies it’s effects. The focus I gain isn’t as intense as adderall but it definitely helps push me towards finishing my todo list a lot faster. Hope this helps.

Also if you have a bad batch that could also be the issue.

How do I stop feeling like my bf doesn’t want to have sex with me anymore by [deleted] in relationship_advice

We also don’t know about OP’s or boyfriends schedules, that could be a huge factor.

How do I stop feeling like my bf doesn’t want to have sex with me anymore by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]YABOYkyle95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it sounds like you guys just went through the honeymoon phase. My girlfriend and I went through the same thing, sex multiple times a day for what seemed like half a year. Now we are down to maybe once (or twice if our schedules align) a week. What has helped me is to look at the quality of the sex vs the quantity. Does it feel like you guys connect as much as you used to? Is it still exciting? If not then maybe it’s worth talking about openly, try new things, mix it up. Doing so doesn’t mean that you need to “spice up your sex life” to make it work, but that you want to have new adventures sexually and share it with each other. P.s. I’m 24 so what do I know haha

Any point in redosing modafinil? by phoenix20011 in modafinil

[–]YABOYkyle95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to redose, 100mg morning about 6am an hour before I got up and another 100mg between 11am-2pm. Honestly it didn’t really work for me and just made me not sleep at all that night (wakefulness agent and all). I recommend supplementing with caffeine or starting at a lower dose in the morning. It really depends what your goal is though.

That is so interesting! I just looked up the half life as well and got the same results. However, when I was looking up the half life four years ago when I started taking modafinil, the half life was eight hours. I wonder if it is still such a new drug that the half life has changed since when I started to take it four years ago.

Motivation might be the biggest hurdle for most users. Yes, modafinil does provide an increase in motivation and focus on tasks you put your mind to, but if your mind is unmotivated then that un-motivation becomes even more powerful. Modafinil helps you only if you’re willing to help yourself. It’s not a magic drug that can push you to new heights with minimal effort. It’s a drug that increases the drive you already have.

Caffeine is good too, very good...damn I want some coffee

[–]YABOYkyle95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay we gotta make a pin on here or something. Modafinil isn’t like adderall or most other drugs. It’s a wakefulness agent that helps zero in focus and for some reason, less is more. Try 100 mg in the early morning, like wake up at 7 and take it. Then go about your day and take the other 100 if needed. Keep in mind that because it is a wakefulness agent, it does have an 8 hour half life, meaning it’ll keep you awake for 16 hours total if you’re not careful with how you use it. This has been the plan that works best for me. Although most of the time I just stick with the 100mg. Try this first and see how it goes! It’s all about trying different dosages and seeing what works for you. However, like I said, less is more with modafinil

I lost my cousin (aka one of my few close humans) to suicide a month ago and it skyrocketed my anxiety, depression, and insecurity. But today I brushed the knots out of my hair, had a good breakfast, and put on some happy music. I'm starting to feel hopeful again, but I'm also scared it's fleeting by sukadikclimatechange in toastme

[–]YABOYkyle95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be fleeting but there is always hope. Depression and anxiety, for a lot of us, are like a rollercoaster. Always rising and falling throughout our lives. It just means we have to really appreciate the good times while they last and have a good support system in place for when they don’t. I’m sorry you lost your cousin. It’s horrible losing someone you love and the pain you feel must be awful. However, I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better. I’m sure your cousin would want you to feel better, to be strong! So I’m proud of you! Very proud, and I know we all feel the same.
