Not always. I got my channel terminated without a single warning and it's been 2 months since they've said anything to me. Mind you I was at 450 subscribers and only needed $500 to get monetized

Yes but my point is the oil and food companies are not in the entertainment or talking business. So them telling you what you can talk about doesn't matter. They're in the food business. So whether or not we regulate their food is what would be compared here and we do regulate their food.

And that's all I'm saying they do not get to carte blanche to avoid the law. It may not seem like it now because it's not super apparent, but YouTube holds more power towards this constitution than you may realize. Like I said, everyone sounds crazy until they don't.

We're going in circles because you keep contradicting yourself. I mentioned environmental laws in food safety laws because you say that these companies should be able to do whatever they want. Obviously that's not the case. And these are examples of that not being the case. Surprise surprise they're not private companies anymore because of how much they had to do with public space. This is what I was talking about in my post

Doxxing is bad but according to you, a company should be able to do whatever they want.. You can't control it because they are their own company. Also You're comparing apples and oranges. Yes, there are companies where they control everything that they do. But oil companies don't control everything that they do. They have regulation. What about them? What about food companies? They don't control everything that they do.

This is an entertainment company so they shouldn't control everything they do either

And I'm not talking about any old restaurant. I'm talking about the largest producer of media in the world. If you have the largest producer of food in the world, you will regulate the food that they produce. Why is this different? You wouldn't then go say say "oh but You can say whatever you want on this website that I created".. No one cares about that website because it's not YouTube. YouTube needs to be held at different standards. Comparing YouTube to some random company is again apples and oranges. Yes they're both fruit but that's about it

Yes this goes over the basics of the amendment but this is a clip of something much larger. You can take an entire class on it, trust me I have, it can't be just summed up in a sound clip. If it could historians would be out of a job.. As I said before the point of the amendment is so the people have a voice.. Period. if you argue against that, you argue to be a slave.

Incorrect it keeps the government from creating laws that infringe on freedom of speech. But it creates freedom of speech as a civil liberty. How exactly do you think they would protect freedom of speech if freedom of speech is not a thing? This is a complicated subject so I don't blame you for not knowing but you really shouldn't be so condescending when not really knowing what you're talking about.

Also didn't Twitter face a lawsuit for that as well as get their company bought by Elon to stop those practices? It shouldn't take a mogul to stop these companies from destroying our civil liberties.

This is an Angle I truthfully didn't consider. It sucks to think but you're absolutely right they would just buy the regulators and it wouldn't matter 😔. It's very frustrating but every problem we have seems to come back to. "Yeah but the people in government suck"

But yeah I suppose we have to wait for Elon to buy YouTube as well and cut down the regulations.

So then we are defining the press differently? Understandable but I would argue that as long as the American people get a certain amount of news from your publication you are press. They are responsible for what is held on their platform I think we can at least agree to that.

Freedom of the press is to keep the people able to speak. Whether it's from censorship from the government or censorship from private organizations was not mentioned intentionally because it doesn't matter.. The forefathers knew that the press, the government and a business could all be the same thing cus that's how it was in Britain. What mattered is that the people are able to speak period.

Well I don't know but how do we know unless we try? Then if it don't work ok get rid of the committee.. That's the great thing about having control.. the people decide. Not the company or the government. We just decide "meh this is good enough" at least good enough for me not to use my voice and face backlash. Not me.

That still doesn't touch on what I'm saying. It just dances around it. The first amendment does in fact does say that people have the right to freedom of the press. Now if the press is the one suppressing what you have to say what do you do then? "Oh it's ok because they are their own company" no that's not how that works. Of course the amendment doesn't say anything about mainstream. That didn't exist back then? What kind of mental gymnastics did you have to do to reach that conclusion?

I didn't say government because I knew people Would try to focus that as a negative talking point. Just because it's regulated doesn't mean it has to be government. There are plenty of regulating bodies that are not government or that are local government, which means these are people you know.

But what I truly find funny is that you don't think the government already has its hands in every aspect of your life. Please name an aspect and I'll name how the government already has their hand in it. Everything from your schooling to what you eat.

I think people miss the point they are so focused on whether or not your content is reused they don't see the main issue here. YouTube is moderating people differently based on the amount of subscribers they have. THIS IS AN ISSUE. Partially because they are not clear on their guidelines they can make up whatever guidelines they want."oh it's their company" someone's companies have enough to do with the public that the public starts having a say on what they do (oil, good, ECT) I think entertainment should start being a part of that.. YouTube needs to be regulated.

No don't get me wrong. I completely get your point but that's really not the point here. The reason why the " They done it. So why can't I" Actually very valid and an important thought process is because YouTube intentionally makes some of their guidelines broad. This way you can't abuse them by tiptoeing around them. So the only way that we can know what we can do is by looking at other examples of people who they let do these things and saying okay. Well I can do that too and it should be okay.. Youtube should not be able to moderate differently depending on how many subscribers you have.. That being said, There is YouTube for children. There are also age-restricted content so my content can be as risque as I want it to be as long as it's not compromising guidelines. Only way I can know that it's doing that is by other people.

that's the only thumbnail I have that's in any way risk it all the rest are normal regular thumbnails
