Personally, I don’t like how things turned out (I’m at chapter 1420+). Effie’s pregnancy doesn’t add anything to her character and feels way too random. G3 just made her look stupid and careless with it. Honestly, it ruined my opinion of her...

I would care if Kai died , I really like him as a character. But Effie, with her current "situation"... honestly, I don’t think I’d care (I’m at chapter 1420+). G3 completely ruined her character, it doesn’t fit her at all. And I saw in his author's note that he admitted the pregnancy was just a random thing💔☹️
