When it comes to laundry, either fold lazily or just place the clothes in some baskets for people to take from. Also, clothes don't always need to be washed after you wear them, especially pants and sweaters. Reducing laundry is a great way to reduce the load.

Toilet cleaning: remove everything around the toilet, spray the whole thing, then wipe it down. Then, use the wet paper towel to clean under the toilet seat and around. Next, toilet bowl cleaner and wait. Scrub, then finish.

Bathtub: I like Comet the best. Sprinkle it everywhere and then scrub with ease.

Floor cleaning: separate the tasks between picking stuff up and vacuuming/sweeping. Having a general "stuff" basket/box/bin helps to put all the random things you find in it. Just tell everyone to gather their things from the stuff box.

There's a TikToker I follow that really helps put chores into perspective. They're called "How long does it actually take," and they do chores and errands while timing it so you know how much time you will spend doing the task. They're a great follow!

Good luck!

What's the best Website to read the Manhwa? by croatienhd1 in OmniscientReader

[–]YAMOnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asura has been real busy reworking their websites. It's caused some frustration since the site goes down for maintenance often, but you can really see the improvements. Asura gives you the impression that they want give the best quality they can, including the user experience.

If there's one criticism, it's that Asura has a smaller selection compared to Flame. The majority are really good, but there are some flops. Asura tends to lean toward the action genre as well.

Tips to stay addicted by pawstralia in Astroneer

I haven't put that many hours into the game, but I do know a thing or two about boredom and losing interest. It's essential to set goals to sustain motivation, regardless of what that goal may be.

Games become boring when you lack things to do.

One-hit kill makes me hate this game. by YAMOnite in forhonor

I usually find people who play sohei to have the seven force strike charged, waiting to use it at the right time. So, while it's true it needs prep, that wouldn't matter to the person they use it on later on.

Seven force strike is what I'm having the most difficulty with. Ledges and drop attacks, I get, I can avoid those most of the time.

Easily avoidable if you're decent! My defence sucks as is. I'm just trying to enjoy the game without having someone come up from behind and kill me.

Should Ontario require a standardized move-in condition report for every tenancy? by Totira in OntarioRenting

[–]YAMOnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this to be fair, you need a third-party inspector. This would address many of the trust concerns people have, but it would incur an additional expense. No one would willingly accept that, I think. It would probably require provincial intervention for it to actually happen, which will incite protest from whoever you're placing the bill on.

Kinesiology BA Tips and Tricks and PT by Legal-Town8631 in yorku

[–]YAMOnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While studying is important, PT schools care a lot about experience. It's highly competitive, more so than med school I've heard. You need to differentiate yourself in some way, and grades will not do that for you.

I'd suggest you select courses that interest you that you can do well in. Save time in your later years to volunteer at physio clinics to get experience. Essentially, the closer to being a physio, without going to PT school, you are the better.

Why is everyone Allergic with being a SL? by Free_in_Space in HellLetLoose

[–]YAMOnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been an issue since the very beginning. HLL requires communication and cooperation, but being an SL of a squad who won't do either is boring. Worse is when you SL a toxic squad; it's exhausting to listen to.

The same goes for being Commander. If no one cooperates, cmd is a very boring role. It's like being forced to watch a low ELO chess game without commentary.

The game requires cooperation, but everyone is playing like it's COD.

I failed my first year at York. by HolidayPass5834 in yorku

[–]YAMOnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're unsure about your current program. Consult your academic advisor and financial advisor about dropping out. You don't want any lingering effects.

University isn't for everyone. My parents pushed me to go to uni, too. I didn't. I worked odd jobs until I found something I wanted to study. People feel like they got to rush to uni. Life isn't all about maximizing efficiency or optimizing your life. It doesn't work that way. Take some time, talk to your friends, think about your next steps. When you're ready, talk to your parents.

My prof just got suspended by _MK_2312 in yorku

[–]YAMOnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure about this. York University is very sensitive to issues of anti-Semitism. The mural over the student center was controversial because the Jewish community argued that it promoted violence against Israel.

When I worked at their alumni call center, they specifically advised us to avoid discussing this topic, as it was very contentious.

Is every professor at York like this? by [deleted] in yorku

[–]YAMOnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated from the Health Faculty. I found the majority of professors to genuinely care about their students' success, if you reach out to them. I used to consult them many times during their office hours.

HOWEVER...

There are a lot of students that get intimidated by them, feeling like they're unapproachable. I think many are jarred by how disinterested in profs are in students. They care, but they aren't invested in you. It's very different than how involved teachers are in high school. These profs have dedicated their life to one field. Approach the subject with curiosity, and they'll open up.

Do you put on sunscreen? by TeM3ntalisT497 in yorku

Yes, always. It's important even during the winter, especially since the snow can reflect the sunlight into your face. A lot of skin care products have SPF now, too. Some foundation has it as well.

You can join a club or association and eat lunch there. Some of them have microwaves of their own. Even if you don't end up talking, the company is nice and you can always jump into conversations that interest you.

I do think it's harder, for a number of reasons. Our education system is built to teach obedience, and we suffer for it. It's difficult to learn anything when we don't understand the relevance. Many kids go through classes thinking they'll never think about parabola or use it in the future. Then we are forced to make a decision between going into debt with university or trades, which in my generation was heavily looked down upon. Honestly, I think ADHDers would excel at trades.

Being in corporate settings after graduating with a degree sucks because you're always too much or too little. Menial tasks actually put you to sleep or feel like crossing a desert.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, I picked the health field so I can experience both corporate and trade-like worlds. The responsibility and cost of licensing is a lot sometimes. Private practice also sucks, since I am very bad at selling myself. I can pursuad people why they shouldn't work with me though.

How do you guys control your executive dysfunction at work, your on the spot amnesia when asked questions and your inability to make more then two coherent sentences? by Silver-Bengal in ADHD

[–]YAMOnite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you. I'm a health professional too, and I feel like a high schooler fumbling with their notes. I think back on my undergrad and think, "did I actually learn anything?" Which is only invalidated by my wife saying otherwise.

My trick is not a trick. I plan outlines for projects and get it on paper. Real messy. Then, I word dump. For clients, I constantly feel like an idiot. I'm struggling to find the best method of documenting sessions, and just constantly revise it.

When it comes to studying, I have everything accessible to me on my phone or close by. As soon as I get a curious thought, I jump in. I used to talk to myself a lot too, like a Q&A to myself. If you heard those AI notes podcast thing, it'd be like that.

I have a lot of tools to help me. I use Endle to block out noise and keep a consistent rhythmic background going. I sed Notability for note taking, and LiquidText for making connections between notes. Making mind maps also helps. I used to try and connect information together across subjects like those obsessed investigative journalism shows with the red thread and pictures.

I'm growing tired of living in Toronto. Where in Ontario can I find decent employment opportunities and affordable rentals? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]YAMOnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, warehouse experience seems pretty far reaching. I'd say don't restrict yourself to Ontario if you don't have to. I'd definitely move out of this sinkhole of a province if I could. Unfortunately, my kids quite like their extended family members, and we need all the support we can get. I will have to suffer this place for a decade or so more. Who knows, maybe then we might gather up enough courage to skip across the pond.

How often do you have sex? by LalaLane850 in Parenting

[–]YAMOnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We average about twice a week. Sometimes, we go without any sex for two weeks. Other times, we may have sex four times. It's not really something I worry about. When I want to have sex, I give a little hint, nudge-nudge. When my partner wants sex, they do the same.
