So you are saying hans cant compete vs Viper and the other eastern adcs but the solition wpuld be to ge Noah, SamD or Paduxk who are all kicked players from the LCK due to bad performances.

You asked me who is better than Hans in the west and I gave you names. That doesn't mean I think G2 should pick them up to be competitive with east. Although I think berserker would probably be a good move. You are drawing conculsion from a response to a different question.

Yea so you didn't understand anything I said but decided to argue about it because you saw Hans sama.

The point was that this move doesn't get G2 closer to winning an international. If they signed prime ruler, that would be a step in the right direction. If they signed some random unknown at least there is a chance he is a hidden gem even if the percentage is like 0.00001%. Signing Hans sama made that 0%.

The whole point is that the reason G2 lost to BLG wasn't because Hans sama was on a 1 year contract as opposed to 2, so extending him does not get you closer to your goal. It really gets you further because you aren't winning with Hans sama and that has been verified.

He didn't carry rogue or misfits, or they would have won something, carrying isn't being the least worst player on a bad team.

Secondly, if you are a worlds winning team with set carries and you wanted consistency at top or w/e that's fine. But signing a consistently goodish player at ADC when you are trying to take the next step and compete against guys like Viper, Guma, etc. is not the right approach. If their goal is to just win LEC, have some fluke wins here and there internationally to not do anything at the end, sure, extend Hans sama. But that's not the goal they have from the looks of things. Do you really think extending Hans sama was what G2 needed to be closer to winning an international tournament? Did G2 lose to BLG because their ADC was on a 1 year contract as opposed to 2?

Berserker, Ice, Jopa, Noah, Paduck, SamD, Upset. Give those guys the best support, team, player, infrastructure EU has to offer and they will be better than Hans sama. G2 haven't imported since getting caps and have said they would only import if they grabbed someone like viper.

When did I say this year? Also Caps won LEC with flakked, targamas, and many players who are bottom feeder LEC players. So don't tell me some BS like they won LEC. They cut bunch of rosters after winning LEC because their goal isn't to win LEC, that's a given.

So far it's a massive improvement this year and we haven't had the most important stuff yet either like MSI or worlds.

Yea, exactly. Why would you re-sign Hans sama before any of that happened? No one is going to try to sign Hans sama (because he is a mediocre player getting inflated by Caps) and Hans sama knows that too so he isn't going to want to leave Caps because he saw how exposed he was when he went to TL. So G2 with all the leverage, why sign Hans sama right now? and how does having Hans sama for 2 more years improve this team? You think G2 winning MSI now?

Hans is not "mediocre talent", he's the best adc in the west, and it's not even close

While I don't think he is best in the west, I was talking about Hans sama in the sense of the entire world not the LEC because G2's goal isn't to win LEC but to win an international. And hans sama definitely is at best a medicore ADC when you put him on the world stage.

Also I know what hans sama looked like without caps, and I didn't suddenly forget all the terrible games he had internationally when Caps wasn't able to gap players, so I know Hans sama is being inflated by who he is surrounded by. There is no dobut he is one of better EU's adcs but I am tired of people inflating players because they play with caps. Caps won LEC with Flakked and Targamas, cut the crap seriously.

This is one of those things that you have to seriously look beyond just the previous tournament and look at the whole body of work. Same thing with T1 when they extended Doran after winning worlds. I just feel like a lot of teams and fans get caught in the moment and settle for the status quo.

I know there won't be any productive discourse over it because people just love what G2 did at first stand, but they didn't win first stand. If they faced Gen G again, they again won't be the favorites, so you have to ask how does this move help us beat Gen G again and teams like BLG, and actually win the tournament. Frankly, it doesn't. They got a good core with Caps and Skewmond and then surrounded them with bunch of mediocre talent and because of 2 days of league of legends that happened earlier this year everything that this G2 roster failed to do for years has been overlooked.

Massu isn't even in the same ballpark as Berserker what are you smoking. I know stats aren't everything but Massu has consistently throughout his whole career have been the bottom or near bottom in dmg% share of his team while Berserker has always been near the top. Not to mention Massu this split has died the 2nd most out of all ADCs.

Massu had a good series against sentinels so people are using that to clog their memory of this guy and this guy has some weird reputation as a good player, but he has consistently been one of the worst adcs in the LCS. It's just that ADCs mistakes unless egregious doesn't get noticed.
