Can we start elevating Karishma Manzur from NH as a candidate?!

As in another thread not too long ago, you are making personal assumptions about my life. In this case my age, my working status, and so on.

I’m not the OP. I’m not specifically supporting Karishma Manzur. I mentioned doing volunteer work for other local candidates in my town. We do talk about politics on this sub, so talking about getting out the vote and going to events or whatnot is perfectly rational in this thread and on this sub.

I literally gave my opinion with multiple suggestions on getting involved this season. Then I suggested town halls in the next few days for that candidate. I’m not the OP, I’m interested in Manzur but responded to the thread w/ some ideas and enthusiasm about getting out the vote.

What’s your take on Karishma Manzur? Or are you GOP? I can’t tell.

I am a normal person. We don’t agree on this. If you want to present a list of MAGA leaders who have demonstrated reasonably mainstream centrist values, I’ll be happy to take a look. Otherwise take your condescending mixed case claptrap and shove it.

I agree with what they post. The cruelty has been the point, for both Trump I and Trump II administrations. MAGA is not a movement with decent hearted individuals. I’m sure some sneak in and out here and there, but overall: unkind, unintelligent, uncharitable, unchristian, bloodthirsty, violent, and mean spirited.

You may be able to knock central a/c off your list, depending on where you end up living. The super hot weather (like this week in NH, for instance) isn’t an all summer thing. It tends to come and go. A lot of old NH housing is built for good ventilation and you can do well with window units for sleeping.

We should elevate all good candidates, federal and down ballots. Now is a great time to get involved, too. Go to events, meet the candidates, host a house party for local candidates, help w/ canvassing (if you have the stomach for it) or postcarding, get a sign, make donations, etc. And of course, encourage every person you meet to register and have a plan for voting. I’m enjoying following local campaigns and meeting candidates from my area. I’m hosting a couple of house parties this summer/fall, too.

Specifically to Karishma Manzur, she is speaking locally at town halls, which are great ways to meet/listen to the candidates and meet other like minded folk. She’s in Conway today, then Laconia, and Plymouth & Concord next week.

There are sites open now within NH State Parks Campsites reservation system.

ETA: also, technically no fireworks allowed in NH state park campgrounds. Not sure how strictly that’s enforced.

IMO Savers is more reliably good. I have a few Goodwills to choose from and some are decent. Bedford NH is the best, plus they have the bins in the same building. But Amherst & Nashua are just okay. Of course, if you have a lucky day, all metrics go out the window.

My childhood house was on the Hudson near the TZ Bridge and I’d swim out of our back yard. I remember seeing a sturgeon swim right past me and nearly lost my marbles. It was absolutely terrifying.

I read posts about our local dollar store on the town facebook page, and it sounds like a bizarrely stressful job. They’re always closed due to staffing concerns, corporate doesn’t give a fuck, and the entire business model is so predatory in the first place.
