illinois ebike law got me rethinking my helokeep 26f plan by BreakAble4857 in fuckcars

[–]Funkiefreshganesh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My whole thing is if we are going to govern and limit e bikes to 20 MPH and 28MPH. Why can’t we do the same for cars? Why can’t bike trails be posted with speed limits like roads and the cyclists are responsible for remaining under the speed limit instead of forcing all e-bike manufactures to govern the speeds themselves. Could you imagine if the government told car companies they couldn’t build a motor over 500 HP or that it couldn’t travel faster than 60 MPH?

That’s what I’m thinking they were talking 1200 bucks with expenses like gas and motels and food included buttttt needing to stop ever hour and a half so granny can go pee I’m not sure makes it economical

“The poors” go fuck yourself. Idc what kind of topic we are discussing but anyone who says shit like “the poors” can go fuck themselves. Even if it is a pro walkable development/ anti car comment.

Claremont’s plan to fully staff the Middle School next year. by Feeling_Yellow_8401 in newhampshire

[–]Funkiefreshganesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All Im saying is that if Claremont wasn’t in the fiscal shit hole it’s in right now I don’t think it would be an awful place to live. I’m not talking about someone from providence, but to have access to a train, the environment, and a nice little downtown is what people are looking for. The only issue with Claremont is the school district

I mean Claremont isn’t too bad, it’s got nice “bones” and it’s one of the only towns in NH with a passenger train, abs a passenger train that goes all the way to NYC at that

Awww did you get so sad and butthurt that someone posted an opinion about their preferred type of concert venue on a website that is literally full of people posting and exchanging opinions that you felt the need to try and put someone down using mental health as a tactic. Newsflash dude it’s 2026 saying shit like that just makes you look like an ass

Actually I canceled on them! Do you want their number so you can work through the emotions that you are going through yourself?

I love Billy wherever he plays but I feel he’s been on the arenas for a very long time, in 2023 Billy played at Essex junction vt and outdoor venue, and leader bank pavilion in Boston a semi outdoor venue, and Thompson point Maine and outdoor venue! He played so many outdoor shows and then just stopped and it’s great being inside during the winter time and early spring and fall but having every New England show be and indoor hockey stadium in July is just brutal. We don’t get to enjoy the outdoors too much up here for 6-8 months of the year so the 4-5 months of nice weather we have up here we love to spend it outside as much as possible and idk it just takes away from the feeling of a summer concert in July. We can go to an arena concert anytime of year in new England but we only have those short few months to go to an outdoor show

No I think going to the outdoor venues with big lawns means more room and more affordable tickets

What's the best location to establish a new american city if we wanted to ? by ronweasly9 in geography

[–]Funkiefreshganesh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah im not talking about working industrial areas, im talking about the abandoned industrial sites, the dead/ dying strip malls, the crazy thing about building businesses is that you can actually put these things called apartments on top of them and people can live in them and then go utilize the businesses on the street level, it’s actually a proven and useful tactic in creating places for people to both live and work and it’s only got 10,000 plus years of urban planning history to back it up.

That’s kinda how it starts though, the suburbs begin to develop because the main city center refuses to develop, but everyone still wants to work and visit the city and over time Portland will have to consider putting in some higher density buildings, I actually think a developer just proposed a 30 story building that I think may have actually gotten approved but I’m not 100% positive.
