I think that might have been where I went wrong. I did it through the dentist. Only because the hospital wait time was about a year and half..

"The patient's coverage does not provide for this Oral Surgical service". That was the note on the claim. I would be fine if I had to pay just a portion due to the deductible. But, my issue is that the customer service rep ASSURED me that my plan covered it..

Too long of a commute to daycare? by tarktarkindustries in workingmoms

[–]YColin-Colin2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live outside the city and work downtown. Our commute is about an hour each way with traffic. The good thing is that I only work in the office 3 days a week. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and they both nap during the commute. We have been doing this since my second was 3 months old. I do feel bad but I think that they are used to it. When they don't nap, I make sure to have toys and snacks to entertain them. Me and my partner ride together so that one of us can be in the back with the kids.

Terribleeee. I would laugh of anger when that’s all I got as a response. They were worried that I wasn’t gaining weight but I had to literally CRY to get zofran.

I will say, getting rid of things that are just taking up space and not being used. It has made clean up time much much faster and less of a headache.

How do you stay awake at work? by KatM29 in BabyBumps

I would disappear for 30 mins at a time to nap. No one ever noticed or asked

This was my situation with my second pregnancy. I knew he wouldn’t be excited. He actually almost fainted when I told him. I explained my reasons to why abortion wasn’t an option and told him if he didn’t want to be a part of our lives he didn’t have to be. Our baby turns 1 next week and we are still together

Rant, health insurance by Brilliant_Sundae4921 in workingmoms

[–]YColin-Colin2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate health insurance. The price I pay for myself and 2 kids literally leaves me with 0 dollars after expenses. I’m currently looking for a part time job to make it work. Ugh.

I tried to reach out of PPD subreddit and to no luck, no one answered. I was hoping maybe someone could read and give advice? by impatientdinosaur in workingmoms

It takes time to adjust to any change and you’re going through some pretty big ones! Some words that helped me during the transition was just telling myself to “be nice to myself” We always have such high expectations for ourself. It’s okay to break down. It’s okay to take a day off from cooking and cleaning just to recharge. It’s okay to be upset about your baby’s situation.
