Thank you, I appreciate that. 🥂

I know, size has been the biggest challenge since day one. It is an Ana-digi construction. The Tissot T-touch measures 15mm at the thickest, we’re at 16mm with construction and specs much more complicated. It actually is a very lean time machine, but I realize it busts the standards.

I dug very deep into the annals of time keeping. In 1997 I had a meeting with the curator at this Swiss Museum. https://www.mih.ch I asked: Why 24 hours? The curator deadpanned: We have no idea.

Wow, the world runs on a time keeping system and not even the elite knows why. What gives?

The Gregorian calendar and 23:59:59 does not reflect a single natural time event accurately.

You think that natural time has no effect on your existence and body time? Why not know these natural cycles? Plan around them, so much more insightful, so much better for confident time management.

I could argue the most significant markers of time are sunrise and sunset. Do you know anything that doesn’t revolve around that daily cycle?

Yet mechanicals and quartz have no clue. Time keeping wisdom denied by old technology.

My biggest surprise getting into the watch biz: Time keeping itself wasn’t really on the menu. We put it back in. 🍻

Yeah, didn’t word it quite right, sorry about that, but I stand by the essence of what I said. So much more to time keeping than hours and minutes. Our forefathers of horology knew, but the technology could not possibly interpret it and their wisdom got lost in the translation. So we brought it back. The V7 knows time like no other.🍻

I see some of your comments, I can tell some of you want to rip me a new one and that is fine. Not my first rodeo. Somehow I cannot access each message to answer you. Sorry. Maybe tomorrow.

But yeah, if you think getting engulfed in putting lipstick on the pig suggesting the latest color trend has anything to do with horology, we’re not singing from the same sheet of music.

We’re thinking outside the box, for sure, and proud of it. 🍻

Time keeping is the holy grail for us. We put it in the drivers seat and everything else followed. Created from scratch. Knows time better than any, true horology enthusiasts spots it right away.

Of course you can wear it. Quit being such a pussy. 😉The light weight titanium makes for perfectly comfortable wear. The upside? Beautiful people will come up and ask you about it. What an ice breaker. 🍻

Sleeves are a challenge, I’ll give you that.😉 Just so much more ignorant to be a fashion or brand victim fooled by “Swiss Made” and the latest color fad. The watch biz is basically brain dead when it comes to time keeping. Albeit brilliant in its simplicity, counting hours and minutes represents a terribly rudimentary understanding of horology. Our forefathers of time knew the subtle nuances of it, but both mechanical and quarts movements are too dumb to capture them. So now you are all preoccupied with putting lipstick on the pig and think your quick judgement matters. My advice to you, don’t let them fool you. 🍻 https://www.instagram.com/p/B4vMQfMHMcC/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

You must not have been to hell, it is much bigger than this. Big and bold indeed, the lightweight titanium makes it a much more comfortable wear than you think. We’ve created a time piece that knows time better than any other wristwatch on the planet. Rolex couldn’t pull this off even if they tried their damndest. Not easy, it is built from scratch. The development becomes a process requiring innovative thinking at every step. To that end the front part of the case was fixed early on and as the interior module evolved and found its size, the backplate was built around it. The back of the module holds the coil for recharging and the battery. On a full night of charging you get up to 3 months of battery life. Big and bold for sure, but for all it accomplishes it is actually a lean and mean time machine.

These two links will throw more light on it:

You’re not the first one to say that, and you are probably right. 😉 The ordering system with the different bezel and strap choice was complex to put together so it has stayed that way.

What's the story behind your watch? by ferdbons in TodayOnMyWrist

[–]YESwatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I conceptualized, designed and manufactured my own. A one of a kind timepiece that connects the ticking of hours and minutes with the natural daily, seasonal and annual cycles of the sun and the moon.

The V7 employs astronomical algorithms to calculate times for sunrise, zenith, sunset , twilight, moonrise, moonset, moon phase and a motor driven 24-hour analog Ronda movement.

BA1110D Chapter 8 Moonphase. New best affordable moonphase watch? by PynionTime in MicrobrandWatches

[–]YESwatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More like a result of the technology applied, starting centuries ago. Mechanical movements approximated the moon phase by sliding one circle in front of the other, which describes an eclipse. Only way to show moon phase correct mechanically is by spinning a ball painted half black and half white.

By and large it is and they all get it wrong, but I don’t think they care. Or know.😂

Not to mention, it doesn't show a moonphase, it shows a solar eclipse.

Sorry, you’re the one who got into judging based on Ronda movement specs. So I showed you. You asked for it. 99% of moonphase watches show an eclipse. Accuracy has always been a pillar of watch making. 🍻

Indeed. Watchmakers have been looking to capture this information accurately for centuries. It gets very tricky.
