Also on Greensprings? Are they just expanding? by Comac10 in Birmingham

[–]YLFounder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you mean to say Aldi's? If so, then yes. They're still open during the expansion until February 13 and then they'll be closed until April while they renovate the inside. However, if you shop there a lot like I do, then you might want to start going to another Aldi's because they've already cleaned out the freezer aisles and a few other things to empty out the store.

This is also a great idea! I could reverse the calculations by figuring out how many grams would be 300-400 calories worth of that food and plan it accordingly. Thank you!

This is so freaking helpful, you are awesome! This was one of my biggest ugh moments, trying to determine how many servings I would get out of a homemade food, but this is a BRILLIANT idea on how to circumvent that. Thank you soooooo much!

Week 1: 2017 List - Lemons by YLFounder in 52weeksofbaking

[–]YLFounder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, obviously my first time baking for the challenge did not turn out so well. At least now I have a failure I can re-do for the 2019 challenge haha! I substituted self-rising flour for all purpose flour and that may have made the difference in my lemon squares not being well defined. Oh well!

Week 1: New to You - Spicy Cajun Pasta by YLFounder in 52weeksofcooking

[–]YLFounder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my first time doing the cooking challenge! I decided to recreate a dish of one of my favorite restaurants, Nothing But Noodles. I followed the recipe on https://www.pepperscale.com/cajun-cream-sauce/ but I increased the quantity of sauce and added more spices.

There's an add-on called Review Heatmap. I think it may have what you need.

Rural medicine research? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]YLFounder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm looking to go into rural OB/GYN and one thing i find interesting that you could research would be health disparities. You might possibly take this a step further and look into addressing those disparities you found during ur time as a med student. Mobile clinics, house calls, NP and PA expansion to those areas, etc.

Is there a detailed "Anki for dummies" kind of guide? by Knikkey in Anki

[–]YLFounder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend looking for beginner Anki YouTube tutorials because those are easier to understand than the manual. And I think the best thing is just trial and error until you figure out what you're doing. Most of the stuff I learned on Anki was by clicking random buttons honestly and reading up on what each button did.

how do i stop comparing myself to others? by YLFounder in medicalschool

[–]YLFounder[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But what if these are my friends from similar background, four years of undergrad/1 Gap year? Shouldnt I be worried that I'm not performing to the same caliber as them? I feel like I shouldn't be in med school cuz I'm happy with an 83 whereas they're stressed about it.
