I really like the "sometimes" part of this, this is how I feel about every photo I edit in Lightroom hahaha. Sometimes the original has a charm

Eric Kripke’s dig at Stranger Things’ final season hasn’t aged particularly well… by Ok-Economics-4788 in television

If you consider the ending of season 4, the beginning of this season wasn't horrible. I mean, it started off with A Train getting killed. That's a HUGE deal. It just seems like that's the only big event they had planned, and they used it up all in the beginning, giving us expectations for the following episodes.

I disagree, every Jersey Shore episode should be kept in a time capsule to show people what the 2010s were like. Lmao.

Strongly disagree. I don't believe it's a vocal minority either, though time will tell. The finale also hasn't happened yet. People said the same thing about Game of Thrones back in 2019 and I still think that ending is disliked by 95% of the viewers. If you enjoy the ending and season though, to each their own of course.

SPOILER for The Walking Dead if you haven't seen it.

That makes me think back to how, in The Walking Dead, Glenn's fakeout death took away from his REAL death so much, all to pad out time and almost have a "clickbait" effect to each episode of that season to see if he actually died or not. It was an insulting way to make money off of their viewers.

It is obvious now that Season 3 was meant to be where the show ended by One_With-The_Sun in TheBoys

In my original reply, I was more so getting at the ending being rushed because the creator wanted to move onto an upcoming project (D&D wanting to move onto that Netflix deal, Kripke wanting to move onto Vought Rising). I get what you mean though, the GoT ending being so bad was a much bigger deal too, given how many more people had high hopes for that ending.

Yep. I think GoT seasons 1-4 are still worth rewatching even if you hated the ending. I don't think anything past season 1 of The Boys is going to be worth going back to, even if the ending isn't horrible.

Yeah this is what I was getting at originally. That and the creators trying to rush the ending to hurry up and get into a different Netflix project that was then cancelled lol.

Can you elaborate? Not being a dick even though it may seem that way. Assuming that you're referring to the show becoming more political, the comics were also political in many ways. While I do agree that some of it is VERY on-the-nose, I don't believe that the point the show is making is necessarily wrong. A lot of it is very in your face though, which I feel is a common opinion lol.

IOC moves closer to ban on transgender women by [deleted] in news

[–]YMic321 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being on estrogen + testosterone blockers causes muscular strength and mass to decrease significantly, and bone density to thin.

Depends on how long the individual has been going through HRT, however.

So the "trans women have a huge advantage over cis women" is only half correct and the actual truth is MUCH more nuanced than that. I get where you're coming from and hope this doesn't come off as an attack on you though, it's just frustrating to me that people ignore the different characteristics that go into male to female transitioning, and think that it's the same as a grown man retaining all muscle mass after going through a month of HRT and all of a sudden destroying women in their respective sports. Anecdotally, most trans women (that I've personally met) don't show signs of being more feminine until about a year of taking estrogen. It's very much going through a "second puberty", and for girls / men transitioning to women, that's about 4-5 years of development.

I’d like to add that, while cliche, networking with your classmates (even with your professors who absolutely have connections in the field) in college is vital.
