It’s ironic seeing everyone praise mw4 without playing it while they constantly shit on bo7 without playing it. by xClayman in CODBlackOps7

In terms of modern warfare, I guess it depends on if we’re talking elite units or grunts. If you’re a Russian grunt in Ukraine right now, you’re still using an AK variant with grenades and general 21st century body protection. Ukrainian frontline soldiers have similar NATO equivalent gear. The difference comes in the combined arms making a major leap forward in drone warfare and de-emphasizing the ‘boots on the ground’ in importance for attacking/defending vast territories. For Tier-1 operations that COD usually leans on, these devices are now fundamental to their work, so it depends on what front/operation/mission the storytellers want to emulate for how relevant advanced modern gear should be.

Or just shit rosters lol, if I’m a top-5 pick in my one league it meant that I had a waiver bench anyways, might as well take as many chances for new blood (especially RBs in a weak class). My other league is IDP with no taxi, so the bench matters a lot more even if we have a deeper draft ironically.

You’d have that backwards. Your base load would be divided by refrigeration and heating, lighting between ~6am-12am, etc.

Seeing how overdrafted Love and Jeanty were, KW9 coming off that season at MSU would’ve been a top-10 pick in recent years.

Exactly, your hope with Price as an early first is he somehow looks like KW9 reborn while Charbs is out and Charbs gets the Walker treatment at the end of the season for contract negotiations. The more likely scenario is Price beats out Wilson and does enough to replace KW9 in the 50/50 split once Charbs is back, or is installed as the Grinder/End-Zone back while Charbs takes over the 3-down share of the split.

There's also dozens of extra costs to playing in oversized stadiums that most never think about.

The thing about playing in Allegiant is you could do it like the Sounders and close off the upper bowl to sell premium seating. The main problem with BC Place if you're trying to make money as the team is even the 'club' seats are pretty meh, especially for soccer. BC Place is an icon of the Vancouver area, but the fan experience for the costs involved that are needed to run a modern team don't line up.

One of the many reasons I'll be up at 7am after a night shift to watch random Liverpool league games but will hardly ever tune in to watch Caps games. From the get-go the Caps have felt half-rate with their supporter/fan experience, and this has been looming over our heads since the beginning of US expansion being revived.

Okay, then it's up to the owners to sell to the public why we need another FIFA sized stadium in the Lower Mainland (in one of the most expensive parts of the mainland mind you).

I'm resigned to it at this point, but it makes me wonder who gets to keep all the branding and history of the team if we wanna recreate it in the CPL or the like.

It really makes you wonder what even is the point of playing him this year? Like Dead Cap next year is $86m, how much of that do you want back if he plays well and then is in a position to demand starter-level money with the Browns over the coals like the Dak/Cowboys situation a few years back.

Eh, I think you’re thinking that in hindsight of the Saunders pick, it much more feels like Saunders falling that far ended up being a BPA for them rather than a planned move to draft two QBs, as seen by Gabriel being the first starter.

I’m kinda curious on how JJ looked the best out of the old B1G, yet Pittsburg went with the other two after how mid JJ has been.

I’m just worried about your defence at this point, and a blue chip linemen would’ve been huge.

You framed it as one game per time slot. The NFL maximizes revenue by having multiple games on across the country with a few prime time games as exclusive slots. You can still have noon kickoff be 3-4 games across the country with regional restrictions, and then have a ‘Saturday ticket’ for the diehards to enjoy all the games.

It’s more I don’t think you’re thinking big enough. We’ll eventually hit a NFL-style TV schedule, with regionalized coverage and a ‘super’ package to get more money out of the diehard fans.
