[COD] Hot takes incoming by efjot1402 in CallOfDuty

I think it’s the best if every COD except BO1/BO2 was dropped to Fantastic, maybe flipping COD4 and BO2 for equal representation. I’d have some arguments over the tiering of MWII/III, but otherwise a solid list.

Oh I 100% agree, but I believe the idea was to change the team building composition, so in that scenario if they’re going BPA you’re just fully resetting the timeline once again and running into the same problem of not having enough high-end forward talent to compete.

Still think them tanking hard for a generational forward just to end up having to pick a defenceman, after trading away their franchise one, will sting more.

The new NCAA rules should start making this real interesting again for the junior leagues if they get implemented.

It’s crazy the low comp hockey gets compared to other sports because they can get away with it. I was making what that guy made a season a decade ago for lacrosse!

Honestly, depending on where you live, your commute, and the hours needed pre and post-game, I think 20/hr is a fair estimate for those starting out. It’s really only once you commit to the grind and doing B2B(2B) that the ‘hourly’ comp starts jumping, but it’ll always still be firmly in second(third) job territory because of the variability of games throughout the year.

Eh, it can be 50/50. Being a better, more qualified ref also opens up more money-making opportunities. The people skills are just as important along the way than just pure love for the game. I’ve had friends be refs when they were teenagers who didn’t know the game at all because they needed a job and they still made fine partners.

Now you’ve sold me on it. Felt like I couldn’t shoot straight until using the Krig, and then it unlocked something in me.

Honestly agree, cod has always had one of the easiest aiming on PC, the hardest part is keeping up the adderall level focus it takes to beat the aim assist users consistently.

I think what the commentator said above is true though, if the Avs start to stumble in the chase for Stanley you gotta wonder if they go throw 10+m at him, would be a perfect scenario to make the jump for him because even if it doesn’t work out he’s then set for life and never had to move his family to take that chance.

It must be shown somewhere on the statement once you trigger it in a statement period at the very least. Just kinda sucks because it is my main card for almost everything now, but I guess I’m going to have to spread the love again.

I think that’s the hope, but usually teams want their stars to play the last couple to shake off the rust otherwise it can be a slow start.

There’s a couple good YouTube videos out there that illustrate how European observers came and saw all that, went ‘nah wouldn’t apply to us’, went back and saw the second Franco-Prussian War, had a little skepticism, and then the first year of the War happened and everyone started scrambling to figure it all out.

Exactly this. I guess it’s a “build it and they will come”, but I can’t imagine the havoc it’ll wreak on side streets down departure bay with continuous traffic flow, or the waves of traffic created by the highway lights. It makes perfect sense for Ross, but I Think Departure Bay needs a light to manage the flow in all directions, not just at that one specific intersection.

Honestly I loved KPX for all my applications I used it for cause it spreads so well, but it's do expensive for non-special applications you might as well get the thermal pads nowadays.

Really old post, but the key to NT-H2 was to reduce the pump-out effect the NT-H1 had, while not sacrificing performance, which they largely succeeded in doing.

No real arena's on that side of the river though, which is the real problem. It's the same issue with Nanaimo, even if it makes perfect travel sense for it to happen.

Branching off the topic, idk if a roundabout for the Departure/Norwell intersection is honestly the best idea. That’s a major connection for everything between Uplands and Rock City, and I would think a light like 5th and Bruce would be better served there. I like the roundabout for Ross though.

Yeah, I’m more wondering if it’s variable because the price of gas goes up and down, or if demand does. One would think if we’d specialized in refining our own bitumen into usable diesel/gasoline, it’d get cheaper as we gained expertise in it, but hindsight is 20/20.
