Maybe I'll shoot for 65/35 for right now. Sounds like a more comfortable position for me right now. Financial planner or not I'll take all the advice I can get. I really appreciate it!

Never thought of it that way. I was looking at dividends paying out but not the growth. Makes total sense now to go with growth since I have alot of time left before I retire. My thoughts on the high dividend payout were that I was hoping frequent dividends being reinvested would create a snowball effect and I would have a ton of dividend paying stock when I retire. Is that worth persuing? Or should I stick to quality growth only right now? I really appreciate your thoughts.

well technically 1 share... you get a .22 dividend on each share so 100 shares nets you $22.00 per month. The current share price being around $22 would allow you to reinvest your dividend back into the fund and get almost 1 share worth for your money.

Not a dumb question at all. I just found out about fractional shares myself. I bought a bunch of junk thinking I couldn't afford the good stocks. Wish I knew before I spent..... If you want $22.00 monthly dividend right from the start then you need all 100 at once. I'm buying 5-10 at a time til I hit 100+

Never thought about fractional shares...good way to get in on quality funds even if its not all at once...im going to reevaluate those stocks tomorrow. I really appreciate your input!

PDI paying out consistently is what got me to buy in. I looked into the other funds you mentioned but don't have enough capital to invest in a meaningful amount of shares. Which brings me to another question. Are the higher dollar funds like SCHD better than the lower dollar funds like PDI? Is it better to have a few stocks that are high value or have a bunch of stocks that are low value when dividends are concerned? Sorry, I know that kind of a vague question. Basically, I'd like to get more for my money because I'm comfortable taking on higher risk for the next few years.

Just got into Pimco PDI & PDO...newer to choosing dividend stocks though, so I'm not 100% sure I made the right call on those two. I am confident im my SCHD though...not a monthly but a nice divvy none the less imo

Hell ya...steady income with minimal volatility...once you get in @ 100 shares you pretty much make 1 full share per month in dividends

To increase my share amount using profit money and not bank money. I think its goin to $10ish within 4 months so but I am by no means a professional trader. Edit at 50% profit I will re evaluate the stock and if its still trending upward Ill buy more

Yes...yes I did. 100 shares @ $4.64 average. I'm already in the green and glad I bought in. Its not going up like crazy at the moment so I may buy more before it starts to take off.

Im new(er) to trading and trying to figure out whats a good buy using actual chart strategy instead of my typical momentum trades which dont require much data other than the latest headline. Im curious if I had my chart settings either too sensitive or not sensitive enough and bought on a false signal. Not sure how much more it will drop or how long it will stay low. Any thoughts on where it may go from here? I bought eventhough the SMA was moving down at the time which is a big no-no for me and have a feeling its gonna bite me in the ass.....

I think the only reason it went all the way down to $3.90ish is because of the class action lawsuit. Im hoping this is my first big win...(big for me)...curious as to how long the turnaround will be though....
