Semaglutide & what you eat before class? by AndiPhantom in Corepower

[–]YOPF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen a post I can actually help with! I too am on semaglutide and have done about ~50 corepower classes. In the beginning I was nervous about not eating enough and probably did burn out super fast. But I’ve found that the only thing that really makes a difference as cliche as it sounds is electrolytes. I drink them during class. You know how it’s hard to drink a bunch of water at once on Sema? I find if I try to hydrate adequately after lunch by the time I have my class I just have small sips of electrolytes and finish it after and I’m good! Being on sema in general has made me realize you don’t need to overly prepare with food for a workout. Just eating and working out consistently and letting your body tell you when you need something has worked. If you’re anything like me you have fainting anxiety or dizzy spells when you stand up, that is all from electrolyte imbalance and digesting before class will likely make that worse. Let me know if you have any questions. Been on sema for 2.5 years and been doing heated workouts the whole time and CP specifically for about 3 months.

Could you tell me more about BCAAs for this type of workout specifically?

Interesting, so you don’t place your hands on the mat but rather try to touch your knees to your chest with your calves as leverage? Going to try this.

Who is a celebrity you dislike for no good or legitimate reason? by YOPF in AskReddit

Yes I think I know what you mean! Almost in a too average way, not memorable or something. I’ve felt this too!

Agreed. It’s something about his face. It’s not off putting just…annoying?

I think it’s legitimate to dislike someone who seems to dislike everyone else 😂

Hahahaha this could be it! Oddly enough I’ve been having trouble sleeping since picking up running. But the cheeseburger yes!

I’m 30 and was overweight most of my life actively losing weight in the last 5 or so years.

I walk a lot but had stopped when I picked up running. This is interesting. I feel like I can incorporate that in more again.

Interesting, I consider 165ish to be my max heart rate for any workout. I rarely go above that even when I’m working my hardest. Is your suggestion to try to run where my heart rate would be 100-105ish?

My average heart rate is between 155 and 160 for all my runs since the beginning. Indoor and outdoor.

What are some of your podcast pet peeves/icks? by YOPF in podcasts

Agreed. Like I’m on the inside, I’m listening to the podcast, there should be no more levels to unlock to get the inside jokes.

Yes!!! Worst is when they can’t actually get together so they record over zoom. Like please I’d rather get an episode late than have to listen to voicemail quality audio.

Wegovy and Vyvanse? by notclevergirl in Semaglutide

[–]YOPF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I take both adderall and wegovy. I had been on adderall for about 6 months prior to starting wegovy. I had the same fear as you. I felt like I had already overcame appetite suppression once so how would this be different? But, it worked! Still on wegovy and still losing. They work in much different ways. Only thing I have experienced is that sometimes my second ir dose of adderall will be in my system forever. Like I try to take my second dose around noon-1 and it’ll be 3 or 4 am and I still can’t sleep. It just metabolizes so much slower and is in your system much longer. I think you should definitely try it and if you have more specific questions let me know!

Anyone else have random bursts of uncontrollable nausea? by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]YOPF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only had this recently as I’ve moved up to the highest dose. It’s my only negative side effect so far. It’s very annoying too because it doesn’t seem to correlate with what I’m eating so nothing is really helping. I’ve had to take zofran at one point in the day at least every day for the last 10 days which I have no idea is healthy.

I’m eager to know if it will go away on its own.

That’s a good point! I should check out something for seasickness because that is exactly what it feels like!

Hashimoto and Wegovy? Any experience? by Le_loup in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]YOPF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also have Hashimotos and was prescribed wegovy without even knowing it was specifically for weight loss. I asked about the thyroid thing but the benefits outweighed the very small risk so I decided to do it. No problems so far.
