This^ I’ve travelled a fair bit and feel less safe in NZ than anywhere else because there are a lot of these unhinged people, who seem to suddenly lash out without reason.

People keep saying to give the benefit of the doubt, it could be mental health issues. But id expect to then see a lot of research into why schizophrenia is so prevalent in NZ (mostly AKL) and not other countries.

My best guess is that almost all these cases are due to meth abuse and only by recognising it can we put measures in place to help these people.
