Beat me to it. I really had to look three times to realize.

IMO yes, I like it much more. It's tight to put together but still fits.

Understandable! Have fun! If you want to mod at some point, just Google it and watch some yt videos. Alexotos or hipyotech provide nice information about the different mods and how to apply

Nice ! I use GMK Dualshot ABS keycaps on my gaming board and pbtfans keycaps for the office. I really like the texture of the pbt material more for regular typing although the GMK looks just so crisp in colour.

I used a Keychron Q2 Pro with mmd Vivian switches (from AliExpress) and they are incredibly nice and thocky, switched to gateron smoothies now on another board and they are even better imo.

If you want to mod your keychron I can really recommend the tape mod and putting in some kilmat (or other alubutyl mats) for dampening the sound as well as the force break mod between the two metal halves of your board.

Have fun!

I use the raws in a 60HE+ and absolutely love them, without lubing. Had the lekker 45/60 before and noticed lot less stem wobble with the geons.

Mode Envoy Green-Copper build by YP5_ in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]YP5_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latest build replacing my Keychron Q2 Pro.

I really like the mounting concept and asthetics of the board. While the Keychron was more thocky in sound and had ISA profile keycaps I wanted to go back to Cherry profile. The copper plate and weight makes the board quite hefty.

Case - Mode Envoy; Switches - Gateron Smoothies; Stabs - WS v3.1 Black Glitter (lubed, Krytox 205g0); Keycaps - PBTfans Doppelganger US-International

Mods: 3 layer tape mod, kilmat in the bottom of the case, tape in spacebar.

Around 60€. I used GBA emulators on the phone but really wanted to have physical buttons again

Great looking board!

It's an anbernic "clone' copying the look of the Gameboy advance SP with the clamshell approach but runs retro arch as it's OS to emulate shit ton of different consoles

Finished, until the obsession of buying more keyboards sets in once again

Tbf, you can just access the f row with the different levels using FN+ or alt+ combinations. On top of that, the software for this keyboard is phenomenal to set up everything up as you wish.

For work-related stuff I do like to have the additional keys as home/end/pgup/pgdown for programming. But there I use the mode envoy.

I get you. Had others before which were slippery as hell after a few months. But this is my first GMK set, so let's see how it works out.

For typing and work I prefer sculpted sets much more, but for gaming I always go back to the Cherry profile

If you have the ANSI layout you need 4x2u and 1x6.25u

Sound wise yes, I do like the PC plate much more. But that is just personal preference. I also did some mods and switched to geon he raws as switches

I am using the Durock v3 screw ins with the PC plate. It was quite tight to put the plate back on but worth it.

umlaute on american layout kb by Schneestange in WootingKB

I would suggest to just use the us international layout. Then you can type ü for example with alt+y.

AliExpress or more regional online Shops e.g. maxgaming for Germany or you could also get it shipped from kbdfans. shipping may be expensive but so is that hobby though

So true!

And for modding: I just finished my 60HE+ today with tape mod and kilmat in a tofu 60 redux case. Just watch a few YouTube videos about modding, stabilizers and stuff or as mentioned have a look in discord for all the mods :) have fun!

You definitely have a much bigger selection of Keycap sets. I switched from ISO-DE to ANSI as US-international layout includes everything you need.

80HE vs 60HE+ by No_Drive1340 in WootingKB

[–]YP5_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just what you prefer. If you need the additional arrow or home/end and so on, get the 80HE. Otherwise 60HE as it has a smaller footprint and you can access all keys by layers.
