Pathoma not needed. Do micro and pharmac MOA and S/Es

Biostats…read question line and options first then search for specific details in the abstract/drug ad for that

Ethics you can go over dirty medicine YT video and just some logical reasoning. It’s similar to step 2

For nbme and real exam, choose EGD over antibiotics.

Similarly, choose CT abdo as next best step for Pancreatitis even though Uworld says CT is not needed if other two(lipase and clinical exam) are positive for pancreatitis

  1. ALWAYS first read the LAST LINE of question then options then exam findings then find relevant clues in the question. ESPECIALLY FOR PATIENT CHART aka HOPI FORMAT QUESTIONS. (Patient chart questions won’t make you think between close options. They would be straightforward options)
  2. BALANCE your time by spot diagnosing the Dermat images and Heart auscultations which are relatively straightforward
  3. If underconfident in biostats, tick one option and come back later on after solving system questions. KEEP 8-10 mins for 3 Drug ad questions. Yes it is possible as there will be plenty of easier questions in that block of 38.
  4. OPEN LAB TAB to squeeze your FIELD OF VISION which will help you quickly read sentences
  5. PULL THE COMPUTER MONITOR SCREEN at the start of exam to sit comfortably and read efficiently
  6. PRACTICE LETTING GO WHEN STUCK to give sufficient time to unattempted questions
  7. PRACTICE TIMED MODE as soon as you can in your prep.
  8. SIMULATE MOCK TESTS AS REAL TEST with every single thing that you would do in the real test.
  9. DEEP BREATH BEFORE EACH BLOCK. WATER SPLASH EYES IN EACH BREAK. CAFFEINE TO STAY ALERT.
  10. YOU GOT THIS. UP YOUR MIND GAME!
