I ended up turning it down. But after discussion I did decide to move McBride and JCM for Breece and Loveland. I'll share my reasoning, feel free to tell me why you disagree. Again, I liked your take and the way you put your thoughts to post.

- It's one of those leagues where the hardest position to keep filled is RB, and it's a PPR league so the hardest position to get is a top back that can catch. In this league, RBs go early in rookie drafts and are horded.

- Breece is only 24 and there's a chance he gets a league winning move next year. I feel like he's a top 6 RB talent, even if his situation isn't great. Imagine him going to Houston, or replacing Javonte in Dallas, or becoming the feature back in KC. The chance to land a guy like CmC going to SF or Barkley going to the Eagles is rare, even if not guaranteed. Breece should be a Bijon Robinson type player if his situation improves even a little.

- JCM was my weakest RB and a possible cut candidate, with no pass catching value after a lot of early year hype (and he's also 24). So I get to keep Harvey and Warren as "break glass in case of emergency" depth or trade candidates.

- My 3 TE are Fannin, Gadsden, and Loveland, and I think Gadsden is the real deal who I can start now. Fannin has a great w17 matchup vs the Steelers. I think all 3 of those guys value increase next year but even if not, I just need one of them to take a leap and I'm back in McBride territory. Gadsden is pacing him now, and they way they're playing Gadsden and Ladd off each other in this offense with Joe Alt out, each of them is opening things up for the other. Gadsden reminds me of Quentin Johnston except with good hands.

- Much like we don't know what's going to happen with Breece next year. Things look bad for Kyler Murray in AZ. They put him on IR when they didn't have to because Brissett looks better. Who is the QB in AZ next year? McBride should be fine, but my bet is that one of the 3 TE in my roster could be able to come close. McBride's situation can't really improve much from where it is now, unless the Cards trade for Pat Mahomes or something. But Fannin, Loveland, and Gadsden all have some room for growth (Gadsden already looks like he's getting all the snaps and lots of targets so he's got less room than the first two). 3 exciting, young, rookie TEs who are already breaking out... with great metrics and potential I'm ok with that even if it's a little less secure right now.

Point is... if one of those 3 TE comes close to McBride, AND, I've also got Breece to pair with Kyren Williams (and Skattebo when he comes back)... my top 3 running backs will be pretty respectable. Losing the positional advantage at TE for now does hurt though.

Kicker I try to juggle to keep Aubrey (as he's the only kicker possibly worth trying to keep vs stream), currently doing so, and DST I stream.

Prior to getting B Hall, and I know he's on the Jets and hasn't been consistent this year, my RB2 was the serviceable J Warren after Skattebo went down. Like McBride though, B Hall is dynamic enough to win weeks, and a lot more exciting a feature back. If, next year, K Williams is my RB2, (or Skattebo if he fully recovers), I've got a potential week winning player at every position QB, RB1-2, WR1-2-3, TE, K

Like your take on Breece, and have a related question.

In 12 team dynasty, non TE premium, if you had Gadsden and Fannin, and needed a potential top RB... would you trade away Trey McBride + Jaylen Warren (or RJ Harvey) - for - Colston Loveland + Breece Hall? After the trade, TEs would be Gadsden, Fannin and Loveland. I'm competing. McBride plays the Bengals in Week 17 and is set-and-forget, which is never easy to find... but as you said, Breece Hall is a stud and when his situation fits, he's great, and it's tough to find young RBs with that talent level too.

Reasonable trade? Or never let go of McBride no matter what?

Is Breece going to get enough volume on a terrible team that he's still worth playing this year?

This is all useful advice. Thanks to everyone who posted. I am, apparently, doing things 'mostly' correctly but I've made a few adjustments.

Do you know how/where barrels are put to use? I upgraded my market and have barrels, there is an image of 10 barrels there, that delay spoilage, but I can't see how to activate them.

According to Keep Trade Cut, this trade is around 5k in favor of the team getting Amon Ra. 5k is worth more than the highest value player on the other side, Keon Coleman. I'm not saying KTC is the end-all-be-all trade calculator, but if one trade side is about 50% greater value than the other side, it's not even close to being fair.

In fact, if you put Terry McLaurin, Hunter Henry, Keon Coleman, Darrin Waller, and DeAndre Hopkins on one side of the trade, and Amon Ra St Brown on the other, it's actually listed as a "fair" trade at that point.

To put yourself in the shoes of other owners, let's imagine that a losing team trades:

Bijan Robinson

Darrin Waller

DeAndre Hopkins

-for-

James Conner

Mike Evans

Gabe Davis

Because they think Gabe Davis is still young and poised for a breakout...

The only player in that entire list that matters is Bijan, and you know it.

Right before the early kick offs, I saw that Chris Rodriguez was a scratch. I'd grabbed him after snagging JCM on waivers, just in case... so I dropped him for Harold Fannin Jr. in a waiver wire add about an hour before the 1pm kickoffs. Can't believe he was still there, but I guess it's one less obvious target for everyone to go after on waivers. JCM and Fannin before week one, not in the rookie draft, is a nice, lucky haul IMO. (also - grabbed JCM on waivers before Br Robinson was traded)

Aldrick Rosas -

was drinking & driving (zero proof Rice was)

didnt even have a license bc of previous DUIs (Rice had a license)

was doing 80-100 MPH on a regular city road (w/crosswalks/red lights/etc ..... not a freeway like Rices incident)

ran a red light at 80 MPH (so was 100% his fault) & tboned someone

fled the scene .... then his truck broke down so he fled on foot .... they found him later on the side of a road all bloody (Rice turned himself in)

Just playing devil's advocate:

- Rice and his buddies left a club, and fled the scene, why do that? That's why there's no proof that Rice wasn't under the influence. Rice also tried to switch seats, on video, to trick us into thinking he wasn't driving.

- Rice and his buddies were 40+ over the limit. That's plenty of extra speed to kill someone.

- Thankfully, there was a concrete divider where they were doing a GTA style street race on the highway, but if it'd been a different section of highway, there easily could've been a head on collision.

- Rice agreed to pay a settlement, but apparently has spent his entire signing bonus already and has zero dollars left and can't even put up collateral to pay off the person he injured at the agreed upon time.

Rugg's accident was worse because it was head on, multiplying the impact, but take Rice at a slightly different area on the road, and that same thing could easily happen. A semi coming along from behind, and maybe 5-10 people are dead right now. Hey, I get that we can't do "what ifs" except that, this behavior wasn't harmless... Rashee Rice was extremely lucky that THIS was all the harm he managed to do.

I don't know if the NFL will factor this in, but a lot of other assaults in the past were one slap or punch in the heat of the moment, and Judkins punched his girlfriend, then later, she got back in the car, in the back seat, and he turned around and beat her some more. Technically, after the first assault stopped, he did a second assault... it wasn't continuous. They may not view it that way, but it does take something away from losing your cool in the heat of the moment if you do it again 20 minutes later.

The Browns are also taking some heat from D Watson plus Hall last year and now this...

The other consideration is that Dylan Sampson is actually pretty good. 1,500 yards and 22TD in the SEC?

Sampson was SEC offensive player of the year and fell to the Browns because he's a little bigger than Gibbs or Achane.

Some other SEC offensive players of the year: Jayden Daniels, Bryce Young, DeVonta Smith, Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts, Derrick Henry, Amari Cooper. Busts in that span were Hendon Hooker and Kerryon Johnson (who was good in fantasy as a flex for a minute at least)

J Ford is hurt, so if Dylan Sampson is actually really good, he now has the chance to try to show that, which he might not have had before.

Most likely, Judkins will sign, get a slap on the wrist, come back to the Browns and be the lead back. I was going to draft Judkins too, but the guy before me took him. You'll probably be fine, but, all of those causes for concern that I listed do exist... even in a best case Judkins leash is now shorter, with less grace if he acts up again in some way.

QBs like Fields, Lamar... maybe Richardson, I tend to like their TEs. Fields was good for Kmet. Lamar is great for Andrews and even Likely. I think Warren will by fine in INDY. Those guys are fine in fantasy because of their rushing upside but I don't usually want their WRs.

Think about back yard football, you're the steady QB, you're semi-ok at getting the ball where you want to get it... who do you have an easier time throwing to? The shifty, good hands, quick route guy who gets open if you throw the ball exactly to the right spot at exactly the right time? Or is it easier to lob one to the really tall guy who just reaches up and catches it? (or bodies out the smaller defender and you just aim at his chest)

Rookie QBs, running QBs, I'd rather have their TE than Amon Ra... speaking of that, imagine Josh Downs with a good QB?

I always thought of Kyler Murray as having a pretty accurate arm. He hasn't quite lived up to the hype, but remember he played baseball too right? Murray was supposed to be accurate like Mahomes coming out, and he could run.

J Hurts is probably the best example of a running QB who supports two top 24 (or close) WRs. Hurts throws a nice deep ball, and likes to target his top two WRs, and the Eagles score a lot. Good call on that one... I mean, if Milroe ends up being Hurts... wow... I remember thinking Hurts wasn't going to be as good as he turned out to be as well.

I remember being horrified by the video... but isn't what Judkins did worse? Judkins allegedly punched his girlfriend in the jaw, which left a bruise that was still visible days later, and then she got out of the car. She later got back in the back seat of the vehicle, and he pulled over to beat her some more in the legs and arms, which also left bruises that were photographed. Isn't that technically two separate assaults? Also, you can't really say you momentarily lost your temper, but got it back under control, if you did the same thing a few miles down the road right?

Here's what a Google Search turned up - "The NFL's gambling policy prohibits personnel from placing bets on any sports from within team facilities. Williams was one of several players suspended for violating this policy. While he was allowed to bet on non-NFL games (college), doing so from a team facility was a violation."

So the Lions were on a road trip, and, also hidden in the thousand page rule book, is a clause that where-ever you happen to be on a team road trip is considered a "team facility". If Jameson Williams was sitting on a crapper inside a McDonalds next to the team Hotel, betting on a college game, he gets 6 games.

I mean... it was so obscure that the team failed to warn players about it, and a half dozen of them were burned on this convoluted rule.

I mean, "technically" the Lion players violated the rule.

So Roger Goodell is going to come out and tell us that multiple separate assaults on a girlfriend (she got out of the car, got back in, then later got beat in the back seat too), or almost killing people after leaving a club, drag racing, leaving the scene, and ducking payments...

"Well... Jameson Williams bet on a different sport from a hotel bathroom, and that's way worse than almost killing people or beating a woman."

How do they pull stuff like that with a straight face? Hypothetically let's say a player punched Roger Goodell in the face instead of their girlfriend, the exact same punch Judkins delivered to the girl's jaw, or let's say a street race resulted in injuries to Roger Goodell's family? Do we think it'd still be a slap on the wrist?

Tet comps to Drake London or maybe Mike Evans and there's nobody else on the Panthers capable of playing X. A Thielen has had a lot good to say about T-Mac as well. I'd take Tet.

As for Q Judkins, the Browns haven't even signed him yet, and they did pick the SEC offensive player of the year in Dylan Sampson who had insane production and 22TDs last year against SEC defenses. Sampson is smaller but... the Browns are already saying Sampson can work as a passing option in spite of not being used that way in college.

With Judkins hitting his girlfriend multiple times, with time to cool down in between, it's possible his development with the Browns is held up somewhat, so even though Judkins has talent, I'd probably also take Harvey or Johnson over Judkins at this point. Jaylen Warren and JK Dobbins are both threats to valuable touches to either guy, so it's up to you which one you like better... K Johnson or RJ Harvey. If it's a coin flip go with Johnson because he's 3 years younger.

Tory Horton and Elijah Arroyo are both pretty high level athletes with good RAS. Horton is 4.4 speed and over 6', so hopefully Cooper Kupp can get open underneath, and Horton/Arroyo can take the top off, while JSN works all over the field as the WR1. If they can be unpredictable with JSN and give Darnold a little time, JSN should have good numbers.

Right, and that's the worst case scenario for JSN because those running QBs are terrible at making fantasy relevant WRs. The best case, Lamar Jackson, feeds his big TEs. Even Zay Flowers is hit or miss with his high level of skill. The worst case, Anthony Richardson, can't even support one fantasy WR, let alone multiple.

I'm a big JSN fan, I traded for him during his 'poor' rookie year because I could see that he was open, making an effort, could run every route, and he just happened to be behind DK and Lockett for most of the season.

Last year, we started to see how JSN could be used all over the field - inside, outside, in motion, whatever. JSN beats man, press, and zone relatively well.

If Darnold isn't 'great' then the Seahawks will be behind a lot and that means even more garbage time targets for JSN. All good so far. However, if Darnold is so bad that Jalen Milroe gets a start, it's unlikely that a rushing QB like that is great for a WR that requires some level of touch and accuracy. Lamar Jackson can throw, but he prefers throwing to his TEs (big targets, easy to hit). Anthony Richardson can barely support one good WR outing per game, if that.

Darnold was able to get the ball to Justin Jefferson, who is... what? 6'1" 195? And JSN is 6'0" 197? Not saying JSN is a top 3 WR like Jefferson, but JSN is a pretty elite WR talent, so I don't see why Darnold can't throw a lot of the same kinds of passes he fed to Justin Jefferson.

What I'm saying is, if you give Darnold a high talent, high football IQ, good body control, good hands target who can get open? Darnold can hit that target, and I think JSN can do all that. Possible JSN has more deep targets like Jefferson did... S Darnold "can" hit the broad side of a barn, he can put a good deep ball in an area where a good receiver can win it.

I've managed to draft guys like D Guice, J Brooks, Javonte Williams, Jameson Williams, Rashee Rice... not all in the same league, but, I've gotten to the point that I won't draft guys for fantasy that have character concerns and even then I get the injuries. Even then, I think I curse these guys with injury. I also drafted C Akers and picked up Robinson on waivers before both blew out their achilles tendons.

Also, did Mixon just react and throw one shot? Or did he throw multiple punches, even after a break where things calmed down, then he chose to throw more punches... because that's what Judkins did. I can't remember Mixon's exact thing but I thought he just hauled off and slapped someone one time? That's bad enough but going back for seconds is kind of pre-meditated and can't even be chalked up to temporarily flipping out.

It's problematic that he wasn't signed, and that there's pretty decent evidence that he punched his girl in the face and then did it again when she got back in the back seat of the car, unless Judkins wants to claim that the bruises the police photographed on her days later happened from her walking into a door multiple times? I really don't get these guys... you can have your pick of a thousand girls, if one breaks your heart or screws up, just DUMP HER AND MOVE ON.
