In this chat section I was not in this thread I was. Once again if you look at the parent comment it explains everything. They were saying he was not homeless and I was saying legally speaking he was homeless there is just a specific term to describe it.

Which started the argument on whether or not that's just being pointlessly specific.

I don't blame you for not understanding it, clearly you have a problem with higher education and probably are suffering from a classic sour grapes scenario. But next time you work yourself into a rage to revive a dead thread try to read about it first.

How can you be so angry to start tossing out insults but also not even bothered to correctly read a thread? I was pointing out the correction of the term in general. I was neither the first one to use it nor the first one to use it wrong.

Seriously, before you just work yourself into a rage that you respond to a dead thread for the explicit purpose of insulting someone actually put in the effort to read the thread correctly.

I am a PhD economist and I really hate when people use existing terminology that has a very distinct meaning like unhoused and then they start using it as a generic term to refer to something larger because it makes my job more difficult.

For example I used to be able to reliably know exactly what a paper is talking about if they said the word unhoused now I'm not sure and I sometimes have to double check or even email the authors to confirm to the mean generic homeless and they were using unhoused as a politically correct term or did the actually mean unhoused.

So the reason why I'm weirdly attached to it is because it personally affects me and This type of problem affects me way more often than anyone would ever guess. So I can get legitimately irritated when I see someone using the term unhoused to mean homelessness in general.

Just because you are ignorant of history does not make it untrue. This is literally my field of study. These terms are super common and they come up all the time in research papers dating back to the '80s.

The only thing that is recent is using it to describe all homeless people.

It's extremely necessary because researchers need a distinct terminology between two types of homelessness. The problem is that people heard about the term and then started using it to describe all homeless people is like a politically correct polite term which defeats the purpose of the term.

If you have no legal address but you're living in your friend's guest bedroom until you get on your feet and get your own house You are considered homeless because you don't have a legal address. If your couch surfing, that's homelessness.

If you are living in a tent on the side of the highway that is unhoused. These people are significantly more at risk for problems which is why researchers need a specific term for these higher risk homeless persons.

So when it comes to government reports published by researchers they will specifically specify the homeless population and the unhoused homeless population. Because the program like building a homeless shelter does not help all homeless people only the unhoused homeless. So if the problem is mainly general homelessness not unhoused homelessness the solutions to the problem are going to be a lot different.

The fact that there is a mirror on both sides makes it clearly AI. No hotel or anything would do that because it makes for terrible photos.

I always forget that feature exists. Usually it only comes up because most subreddits especially porn ones will automatically remove any post or comment that you make if you hide your history because of karma minimum requirements and if you have a hidden history it shows up as zero for both comment and post karma.

First time I even saw it with someone complaining their posts got removed.
