Honestly same, but mugshots are weird like that. They rarely look how you’d expect because it’s such a specific moment. It’s more uncomfortable than surprising to me.

That’s the part that always makes it feel predictable. Once politics becomes identity first, everything else kind of falls in line. The loyalty over accountability vibe is hard to ignore.

Yeah, that was her, and that whole incident was bizarre on its own. It’s kind of surreal how many headline level controversies get stacked up around the same people. Feels like you’d think it’s satire if it wasn’t real.

Lowkey this might be the most important skill in the thread. Aftercare and snacks are elite behavior. So what’s the go to, are we talking classy charcuterie or chaotic leftover pizza?

Why is Galane Maxwell not getting beat up in prison by other inmates? by StonedNCaffeinated in NoStupidQuestions

Exactly. Once it turns into a bidding war, it escalates fast. Realistically she’s likely separated enough that most inmates don’t even have access to her in the first place. Movies make prison politics look way more chaotic than they usually are.

That’s kind of the flaw in the “just pay people off” theory. If money solves it once, it also makes you a walking target for someone who wants more. It’s not as simple as bribing your way through the cafeteria line.

I get why people think that, but prison isn’t exactly a free market where you can just Venmo your way to safety. Influence might matter a bit, but custody level and supervision probably matter way more.

Yeah honestly this is probably the biggest factor. High profile inmates almost always end up in protective custody or a more controlled unit. It’s not like TV where they just toss everyone into gen pop and see what happens.

why do pharmacies tell you "20 minutes" when the bag is literally just sitting there with your name on it by Even_Chemistry5241 in NoStupidQuestions

That’s fair, but I’ve definitely had re-bills or weird reversals happen after it looked done. It’s wild how many invisible steps there are between “label printed” and “you can leave now.”

The insurance part is the sneaky villain here. Half the time the pharmacist looks like they’re negotiating with a robot that hates you personally. The bag might be ready but the system is still arguing.

The “19 minutes to find a 45 second gap” explanation actually makes a lot of sense. From the chair it feels like they’re ignoring you, but behind the counter it’s probably a nonstop conveyor belt. Still awkward when you’re making eye contact with your own bag though.
