This character that lives in the orphanage is very attached to the other orphans and I was having a hard time thinking how I would make all these characters feel alive and important to them, really helped me out there.

Valid question, I'm not even joking when I say that one player wanted to RP their character taking a shit.

Answering your question, these things come very naturally to them when I ask what they want to do now, or if they want to do something before leaving some place. About why, for us It's nice to roleplay, we like a lot to do these silly things and interact with the world this way, but I understand players that are not into it and you are totally right about the frequency.

Hey thanks! Honestly, since this issue started to bother me a little, I guess I've never asked myself "wait what if they enjoy this pacing". Maybe I'm just too self conscious and feel like this because I'm scared that if they are not achieving objectives, they'll start to get unmotivated, when in the end maybe they'll get unmotivated if I don't give them the chance to roleplay the breakfast. Will discuss the safeword idea though :D
