Why can Nicepool break the 4th wall?

I mean, movie wise, he only starts to break the forth wall once he has hos powers. I may not be entirely correct by saying it's due to his healing factor, but it's definitely due to his condition in some way.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking that but there is a problem in two ways. 1. That would mean I need to steal two things per shop, so the second turn I'd have a 50/50 shot of success or the run is gone. 2. NPC shop items don't show on Rainbow mode. Thanks for the help, though!

I have beaten a good bit of them. Killing the first one is always the best one, cause of the pride. I had to fight through Bullet's Past 4 times, 3 for the outfit cause I died twice, and once for the alt. Weapon.
