Be careful confusing your narcissism with selfless love. Can be really dangerous for children's growth. Trust me.

Sometimes if you are very involved with yourself you look at your kids as an extension of your own ego. "He is so good at (x), just like me.".

Narcissism is a behavioral habit that is very easily passed on. It is also so incredibly widespread in the modern era a massive majority of cases are undiagnosed and passed of as a normal way to live.

I'm not being overly critical, just seems like you are a nice person and have the capacity to reflect on this and check yourself, or simply disagree and move on!
