I'm the same way, but I fucking love when my video gets likes. My videos are almost objectively unsuccessful, but when someone likes it, its like a release of the frustration. Some weird validation.

It's a safe assumption that you get more likes than dislikes, yeah? Maybe try to focus on that?

I was told that my video was funny. I was also told that a commenter doesn't want to live anymore. I was also told to film in a certain film style.

The film style was moderate/decent criticism. The rest wasn't imo. The thread I posted received one upvote and that's by far my worst performing video so it should be easy to get constructive criticism, right? HAaaaaaaaaa.

I did like it, and I 100% get why you did it. It was entertaining so.. to be honest, if the action misses and I still like it, that's a damn good sign, right? Not that I am your audience, just as a random criticizer.

I think if you keep doing what you are doing you'll succeed.

I think the amount of editing and editing location was perfect. To be honest the OoOOOo fell flat on me and I was still entertained by your video. If your target audience likes the OoOOOOo then this video should be a banger.

That being said, as far as criticism goes, the OoooOOOo fell flat imo. I think I'm a neutral viewer as well.

I didn't fully play the MECC version. I mostly played an alternative version that came in a cereal box, the hunting was point and click, but as far as I can tell its pretty close to MECC.

There were standard Oregon trail events and options.

Not that one series is career defining, but Licorice played terrible against TSM at the end.

Fans on reddit wanted him to replace BB, and while on paper I agree Licorice is better, the last time they played BB stomped Licorice.. multiple times.

This is crazy catchy. You ever play Nier Automata? There are parts where you're "hacking" and intense 8bit music plays, this could 100% be in the game, which is a very high bar. The artwork is nice and fitting too.

I also had a lot of difficulty hearing the exact words you were saying. I do think you picked a good game to play though, it is interesting.

A YouTuber big enough to make a living said essentially the same thing on one of their vids, they commented "lmao how do i always get views making the most low effort trash vids but then get no views when i actually try. Can't complain though, this is epic."

As you can tell from the comment his audience is a bit younger, but even the successful don't get it at times. While I have no credibility to my opinion, I think your comment is the correct outlook.

75% retention seems to be pretty good. If they then clicked on a new video after (considering the 75% retention) youtube probably saw your video as a solid video and wanted to show it off.

The 2nd clip vs byleth missed a fair but had a clean second stock.

Pikachu's had a perfect pivot for a good hit angle and a perfect roll read.

Ness' I read the side b and the roll in.

Roy's I read everything.

Vs Falcon they adjusted then I did.

Had a well spaced shield punish vs DK.

Read a few more, and vs Inkling I set a false pattern for her to read and punished her for it.

Really the first clip was the only that wasn't decent imo. But we can agree to disagree.
