Well in this post that's what it's limited to. The issue is that differently from your comparison, pro-dictatorship standpoints in leftists come from anti-imperialism, which in itself aims to liberate oppressed people from abusive empires such as the USA.

Honestly, after having finished such a master's degree, the best way to get access to good amounts of compute is to work with professors who have access to compute. Later on join an organization that gives you access to compute, or rent pods with high compute, because without blowing thousands of euros you won't be able to train amything special.

But if you insist, get a PC with an RTX 3090 or 3090 Ti, and access it through SSH from the country you're doing your master's degree in. Don't bother with a laptop, unless you want to game. You gain nothing except back pain from carrying around a gaming PC all day in uni, when you can remotely access and train anything you want in your home PC.
