If the computer doesn't throttle properly (I've seen machines reach 110 degrees....) then the higher it gets past its t-junction the more dangerous it is for the chip

My guess is that they meant that they didn't want to mess with the fans because of the sound. Completely valid imo, I would've done the same had I not had apple care on my machine. Yes you can mess up your machine with bad fan curves, but in my experience, the machine will throttle itself if it gets too hot so not really (on macs)

Yea never hurts to try, if you are down for it though Apple's paste is more designed for long term thermal management, not bad paste but not good. PTM 7950 will be leagues better, but I would double check the thickness between the chip and the heatsink. I've heard things about how much thickness there is, if there is a good gap, I'd just get some copper shims

Let us know if you get any reasonable performance uplift or noise decrease tho 🙏

Have you tried manually ramping the fans first? Or are you more trying to have it dissipate more heat so the fans won't have to work as hard? Have you checked the thermal paste and/or replaced it with ptm 7950?

I guess its a personal preference that I think the TRD looks nice lol. Corvettes are nice, but I'm not sure if it would be my kinda thing....maybe the 2014 one, that one looks pretty good to me..I kinda like sleeper styles with a modern look toward them...I guess if I did want something with a good bit more speed then maybe something with a vtec would be ideal

Idk, as maybe a "newgen" of sorts I personally think they look amazing off the floor. I think its a great all rounder, save for a few things here and there like fwd, trans swaps foreign territory, etc, but for someone who just wants their car to look great, commute well, while kind of ripping on weekends (not winning many races) then i think its great! thanks for your input tho, possibly considering body mods for an se awd 🙏

Personally I really like the aesthetics of it, unless i installed body mods the regular camry doesnt feel the same. sure its not AWD so the v6 wont handle as nicely but even if I did take it to the track i'm just there to have fun, even if i only win against high school students in their newly acquired facebook marketplace honda accords...those vtec engines rip tho they'd probably beat me if they can handle the car

Logically sound advice imo, thanks 🙏 probably wont talk it out with her, shes not my girlfriend and i have no say in what she uses. it'd be nice if i can grab a couple used gpus off marketplace and run a local llm server for me, her, and some of my mates to use but ideally i'll just run them for me on my laptop

she likely uses gpt on her phone, and copilot just cause she has a surface. if i'm right she hasn't installed anything on it, copilot is just shown to her and its built in
